The two pictures are of two reoccurring NPCs throughout more than one campaign, however no player has ever met them more than once. I'm waiting for the big reveal :)

anytime a PC sees a decked out NPC it raises an eyebrow. which is why an adventuring party with magic gear and weapons raises eyebrows too.
JamJamJamboreHE
what I mean is you have either of them doing something mundane and PCs would probably go investigate.

What alignment is your party and what level?
HalfPint3895
They're mostly neutral though. /2
HalfPint3895
I admittedly restricted them so no evil characters. If they're neutral I say to them try stay in the lighter shades of grey.

I like moral conflicts. Tribal orcs minding their business, getting attacked by expanding human kingdom... who do they side with? Or, 1/?

Using one evil to conquer another... perhaps illithids are a menace... know what's good against mind magic? Undead, do they turn to it? 2/?
HalfPint3895
They still have those. I more restrict evil in character creation so their alignment is descriptive, not prescriptive.

Innocent soul is prison of a demon. Given enough time the demon will corrupt the soul and become a powerful menace... how do they deal? 3/?

Church sends players to look for a relic... turns out the relic can be used for good or evil. Do they trust the church leader? Should they?
