2 years ago I found a photo left on one of the shelves in a TJ Maxx in Cape Coral, Florida while working there (April 2023). I should've just left it there or at least left it somewhere in the front in case its owner came back to look for it. I guess at the moment I was worried coworkers/management would just throw it away before someone came for it so I wanted to at least keep it safe. I asked in a fairly active local residents Facebook group if someone's looking for it of if they at least recognize the kid, but nobody said anything. At the time I didn't think that maybe it could've been tourists and not someone living there. After asking in the group I kind of gave up on finding the owner and for a long time I even lost where I put the photo. Today I found it between some tarot cards that I've barely used (I guess to keep it flat) and now I decided I really should do some more about reuniting this photo with its family. If you're the owner or you know them, please know that I really am sorry for taking so long with taking another step in giving it back to you. People have said to just let it go, and I know that chances are slim, but I know for myself that childhood photos are very dear to me and maybe they are for whoever took it or they will be for the child in the picture. It doesn't hurt to keep trying knowing that there is even a slight chance.

I've censored the kid since one user here made a good comment on how people wouldn't like their children's photos shared on the internet (especially by a stranger). Hopefully there's still enough details in the photo to be recognizable for whoever took it. The girl is wearing what appears to be white short sleeve summer dress, if that is of any help.

I'm not a camera expert, but it looks like the mini format used with the Polaroid Spirit 600, although that picture looks higher quality than I've ever gotten with mine. But the camera is from the 80's and this photo looks like late 80's/early 90's

I'd assume it's one of those new instant cameras that just imitate the old ones, it says Instax Fujifilm on the back of the photo.
