I came straight to the comments to find the level of spook

There could be been more "preparing" in the first gif. Attacking without locking on, gets hit, turns around, runs into skeletons, dies.

When will I get my Demon's Souls Remastered with new DLC for PS4?? I want it sooo bad :(

No but seriously get a good mace then show the skeletons who's boss.

Ironically, Wolnir is actually piss-easy.

Once you know his gimmick yeah But you try beating him without breaking his bracelets. Then see if he's easy TIL he has 2 phases and a sword

Yeah, you have to be aggressive in Tue Beacons of the Deep and Wolnir fights. Once they get to their second phases, you're simply fucked.

Easy but fucking annoying when he won't hold his arms still for 3 seconds so I can actually swing at them.

In Dark Souls it's the human sized enemies you really have to watch out for.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only the jumpy fuckers are difficult in DS3. DS1 bonewheels and giant dog things were the pinnacle of bullshittery.

Depends. Sometimes he refuses to take that fucking arm of his out of the goddamn poison cloud and GIVE ME YOUR ARM YOU BASTARD I'LL KILL YOU

Nobody expects that cloud attack though so even though it's easy it usually takes 2 tries

Uhm isn't Wolnir like, two zones before Anor Londo? It's been a minute since I've played so correct me if I'm wrong.

Wolnir opens the path to Irithyll of the Boreal Valley. Beat Pontiff and you get Anor Londo.

Always kind of wished that hammers and blunt weapons did a fuck ton of damage to skeletons while slashing did piss all.

I fought my way through the catacombs way too early. The undying skeletons and the skeleton wheels were the bane of my existence.

9 years ago | Likes 115 Dislikes 0

I punched 'em on my run through. Dark hand was a god send there.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually cheesed the Catacombs my first time through, getting all the way to the Tomb of Giants without a, what was it, holy weapon?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Basically, I'd just lure all the skeletons to an edge and just kick 'em off it. Then I learned the Necros were making them invincible.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I figured out early on that skeletons were linked to necromancers, but that last necro was a bitch.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I went to the trouble of trying to kick the skeletons off the ledge just like you, only to find out they were running back into the corridor

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

with the armor knight and the necromancer. It was a real bitch.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of the best design choices of DS1 was that there are no hard blocks. You CAN ring 2nd bell first. It will be a torture to a newbie, but

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

you're free to try or succeed. Game doesn't give a fuck. You'll die either way. It's glorious.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

you can actually kill the 4 kings before the Burg by killing the Seal keeper and taking the Lordvessel (?)/ Key to the Seal 1/2

I tried all 3 games and gotta say just not my cup of tea. Always felt my character was way too clunky/slow compared to everyone else. 1

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Try Demon Souls. You're much faster, on par with the enemies. Dark Souls does feel clunky to me too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Play around with builds on the game. Some characters to me always seem fast/less clunky. I always played thief and did my stats from there

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seemed like running past enemies instead of fighting was one of the better strategies. So I didn't much get the point of it. Maybe one day 2

In the first DkS your character moves about as fast as a normal enemy. The overarching mechanic is to learn the enemies moves, including 1/?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2/? bosses, so that you can counter them with your attacks/dodges. Every single enemy is dangerous. Also, you can adjust your movement

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3/3 speed by removing or adding armor/weapons (each has weight). Your stamina to weight ratio has break points that let you run/dodge faster

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I played all 3 with friends and it made a big difference for me as far as how fun it was. U can get too heavy and clunky if ur not careful.

3 is pretty easy, except the 2 dlc bosses darkeater midir and slave knight gael

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You just gotta git gud. But really if you can figure out the trick to the asylum demon then you can beat the gsme

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're so good. Bloodborne and Dark Souls are probably the best games I've ever played.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

In DS1 Asylum Demon, Gargoyles and Blighttown usually separate the wheat from the chaff. If you can make it past them, you can beat the game

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I think I got post the giant doggo and I have no idea where to go or what to do. Hell just going down the catcombs is a pain...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nito is down there. But you can only get to him if you've beaten O&S and got the Lordvessel. Otherwise you'll be blocked by gold boss fog.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I understood some of those words. Either way my controllers busted, but thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I should've been clearer. Nito is deep in the catacombs. If you're lost, read the description on all keys you have in your inventory.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meh. I realize I'm the mi nority, so I suggest you play it for yourself, but to me it was very over rated

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Across all three games and their other titles it's a hell of a ride. If you ever do build a strength character and keep your shield up!

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

idk, i would say build a dex character for the speed or a magic character for the ez mode.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Did this for my first playthrough of DS3. No armor, no hp levels. Every boss could 1 shot me. Gruelling as hell but I stomped the Lords

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Shhh.... let him have his easy mode first

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

DS1 has the best fucking world, man. Nobody forces the story down your throat, but the environment... it's like an epic fantasy novel.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

Is it open world, I've always assumed it wouldn't be open world.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a bit of both. After the tutorial you're on a mostly linear path through the first few areas. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The world opens up and branches out more about a third of the way in to the game. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And if you're patient, it's not that hard. This game isn't a total asshole. That said, this game NEEDS easy mode, that is nowhere to be

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 12

found because community is elitist as fuck. Some people simply don't have enough time to experience true DS grind.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 9

Gitgud.jpg

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

Agreed. Easy Mode would take away from the experience. You'd be cheating yourself.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It does not NEED easy mode. The experience is part of the atmosphere. Elitism has nothing to do with it. You're supposed to feel oppressed.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I will say this. I have a friend in Australia who at one point went and picked up DS1 for the first time. I was offering him tips/hints 1/?
