Ears raised, forward, interested. Large irises but not at max: changing shape and size as attention shifts. Attention paid to surroundings, but comfortable to look away at the arm etc. Holding onto the arm but not clinging. This happy cat looks comfortably stimulated. Alert, but not tense. Relaxed fur. The hand holding it understands cat body-language and responds immediately to position-change signals, giving secure support. 10/10 cat tree, would climb.

I mean, I guess, but that cat is overwhelmed. Tail tucked in, eyes wide open, clingy, ears up and skittish. This kitty is scared.

Scared, and trusts its human companion. It's not trying to flee from them, it's clinging tightly to them. We don't know the context, why they're there or why it's scared, but the one thing that doesn't scare it is its companion.
That's trust.
