Does anyone know how to clean up a large amount of oil with glass mixed in when it’s dark out?

Tongue is the most thorough and natural method

hose it down, you don't want any glass particles to linger

Dawn dish liquid & hot water will take care of the oil. Wet paper towels to clean the glass.

I don't, but coincidentally I *do* have a new idea for a home alone style booby trap ?

Pressure washer. Blast it into the neighbors yard.

The forbidden olive oil, mother. It is spicy and a little crispy and I need it. Bring the bread selection!

After it's absorbed, something to cut the oil, like engine degreaser or the like, might help remove the stain. Don't use brake cleaner!

Dish soap cuts the grease well too

Why not brake cleaner?

In my experience it can leave stains of its own. Also not great for the environment (not that engine degreaser in much better)

Dish soap would be a good place to start.

Paper towels when wet pick up slivers of glass

Unfortunately it’s too dark to see the glass vs the oil. I’m going to have to just wait till tomorrow

Scrap the paper towels while barefoot, it'll help you find the shards a little easier......

Block off the stairway some way. With danger signs. Don't mess with Murphy's law.
