They're all good references, Bront.

THAT FUCKER IS A HOUSE CENTIPEDES AND FUCK THEM ALL THE WAY TO HELL!

Idc that it eats the other pests in my house. The other pests are welcome if it means I never have to see one of those jet-fueled skittering nightmares ever again.

Garden centipedes, you cool.

One of the very few insects I’m afraid of. I don’t think they’re disgusting but my body’s response to even thinking about them is to want to puke uhggg I hate them so much

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes!

I found one in my laundry once, when I went to flip clothes to the dryer. Legs everywhere. My fingers will never forget the feel of its soggy body omg I might puke just typing that...

I also found a dead one in my bedside drawer with intimate items. Again, vomit.

I have been to Waffle House once at 00:45 after a cancelled flight out of DFW. The cook was young twenties white guy with a mid back length brunette ponytail, a struggling patchy beard, and the air of someone who psy-oped or murdered at least one of his mom’s ex boyfriends. The waitress was an equally young, sweet-as-pie black gal with pink ribbons woven into her beach blonde braids, and bedazzled 3” nails to match.

This is why I don't feel safe in America. It freaks me the hell out that any idiot carries a gun.

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Seriously, like any time you come across a person that just might be having a really bad day, your life is in danger. Wack-ass place

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

You're partially correct, but a Waffle House employee is anything but "any idiot", they will fight for you to hell and back. I'd rather a Waffle House employee have a gun than the police department.

1 month ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

A waitress showed us her pistol, in her apron, one night. Another time a waitress offered us a hit from her joint.

1 month ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

Damn I lived down the street from a waffle house for years and I never went. Wtf was wrong with me.

You missed some experiences I'm sure.

The only reasons I can imagine necessitating a call to the police for a wandering minstrel are, 1: he's playing without pants on and 2: he's super bad at it. Honestly, I doubt I'd call the police for those reasons.

#3 I dare you to do other things with my mouth

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#11 this is one of the things that confuses me as much as oisses me off. How do they afford it? I'm poor, live in a poor area, there still be fireworks. Last time I looked at a stand was like 15 years ago and a mortar box was over a hundred dollars, with inflation as high as it is, people still popping em off thru July. And at Xmas now, that's cursed, but apparently how it be now.

NO! SOMEBODY SAVE MIETTE!

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Miette has ruined my brain. Everytime I see the abbreviation for Michigan at work, MI, I read it as Miette. So I have to consciously stop from typing out Northern Miette or Southern Miette

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hah, I love it. I recently did a mashup meme based on the original tweet

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I always mix up the curtains for zoosha with need it or keep it. Since both have weird names

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

about the whole AC thing, in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, South France, and in other south european countries have ACs for a long time and for northern europe wasn't it necessary until the last 15 years.

but now more and more homes are builded with ACs

1 month ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 5

Yup, also don't get that... In my old apartment 20 years ago I had AC, in my next (current one) I have AC. And I'm in the process of building a house where I'll have AC in every room 🤷

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have air source heat pumps mostly in Finland, because they are easy to after install. I got one few years back too, but mostly for heating during winter. I have electric heating from the 80s and got electricity bills of over 300€/month for a 2 roomer... Ashp slashed my bill immediately about 60-70%, money well spent. Also can cool my apartment during summer if needed (rarely). We insulate our houses pretty fucking well in Finland, sometimes can be a hindrance.

1 month ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

yes its smarter and cheaper to install combi units and also here in germany our houses were build to keep the heat inside.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The fact that it's needed more and more is sad and terrifying

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*built. This shit right here is why they keep sending you to Summer School...

4 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's basically unheard of in UK homes. Roughly 3% have it and the political environment there is holding them back big time. I'm all for solving climate change but not letting people install A/C is not how we do that. This is a perfect example of government overreach and it's important to recognize it even when it's coming from "your side".

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

I haven’t paid close attention, but how is the political environment holding them back? I’ve seen multiple articles about the government providing incentives to install heat pumps (which typically would include AC as well) but people complaining that they don’t want to install them.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Maybe don't try use a right-wing rag for a source. Especially trying to claim something about a whole country and then giving a source that talks about ... *two* cases. One of which was reversed already.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

A broken clock is right twice a day. I also have no clue what media is right or left in the UK. There are many sources reporting the same, and the 3% number speaks for itself.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Isn't it ironic, how keeping your house cool with ACs mostly powered by electricity from non renewable resources makes the need for ACs even greater over time? Food for thought.

1 month ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 18

Doubly so because if every house has ac, they're pushing the hot air into the neighborhood, making it hotter outside, decreasing the efficiency of all the acs, making it both more necessary to have one (no one wants to be outside because it's hotter now) as well as using more energy per unit.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Yeah, it's all a big conspiracy from Big Energy. Enjoy the heat stroke and fight the power, man!

1 month ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

It’s like raaaaaiiiiin on your wedding day…

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Ah yes, corporates love this argument - it’s all the people’s fault, if only people were more responsible!

1 month ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 2

That would be a great point if solar wasn't insanely cheap already and still dropping.

1 month ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

Isn’t it ironic that heating your house in the winter, mostly powered by fossil fuels, increases your need for AC in the summer?

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Every time it cools your house 10 degrees .. the outside gets ^-x degrees warmer.. making the HVAC less efficient.. requiring more power… it’s a divergent series
