#10 he gets a brief ever morning with a list of companies he can purchase and then claim to have been a founder.

#17 how exactly did we "buy into" something even George Bush called "Voodoo E?onomics?"

There was never any notion that it was real.

#1 mountains of unsold clothes, largely synthetic fibers, get dumped in poor countries to avoid the shame of selling them for cheap.

#1 The problem is that we see the right as something to be converted, and not as an enemy to be destroyed. We've seen what they stand for. We've seen who they praise. It's time to meet hate with hate and violence with violence.

#30 The acab's want your help to find their constitutionally illegal devices, so they can continue to breack the law as well as the flock company and all they sell your data to? I wish them fuck offs.

Over a decade ago I used to be a high earner in the tech industry. Things have changed (for the worst ofc) and my TAX is proving directly useful to me and my family now. This is how it's supposed to work. But, as a grievous example, in 2014 I paid more corporation tax (in the uk) than Facebook UK. TAX is for helping US not THEM, and THEY need to pay what's due too. That a corporation earning billions pays less TAX than a lone self employed worker is criminal.

#13 my life would not change in ANY WAY, but having less AI slop would be delightful.

3 weeks ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I mean, it might make it so things get a bit better in the world water consumption wise and in electricity bills or something. So that might change your life in a positive way?

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The implication is that we would miss AI. I literally would not be happier if it happemed.

#24 this didnt really happen

A lot of the videos that were shared were from accelerationist fascists who want you to believe that “a lot of people need to go for the world to be better again”

Centrists are just conservatives hiding behind democrat monikers online trying to muddy the waters by normalizing their awful policies while dragging the left down to their level with their 'both sides' bullshit. The voting records are pretty clear-the left votes for the better interests of the people, the others only votes for their rich overlords.

Perhaps. Though there are also people who just like being in the middle and will sit in the middle no matter where the middle is. For those people, liberals and leftists have really screwed the pooch. Liberals because their great idea forty years ago that they're still holding onto against all reason was Third Way- to become indistinguishable from the GOP. Leftists because they pre-compromise on every issue then act surprised when the other team doesn't accept the compromise. Repeatedly.

#11 They are just check kiting with each other. I learned about check kiting in the 90s as a bank teller. This is all going to come crashing down eventually. F these people. I just want to retire peacefully. But no... they're gonna F things up royally.

#14 “AI is a fundamental risk to the existence of human civilization in a way that car accidents, airplane crashes, faulty drugs or bad food were not — they were harmful to a set of individuals within society, of course, but they were not harmful to society as a whole.” Elon Musk

Even this unfuckable loser knew, but then he probably realized you can make a quick buck out of it, so screw it, I guess?

3 weeks ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 4

That sounds like old school Elon. Back before he fired his PR team and stopped hiding who he really was.

I remember when he was very anti-AI, and it was long before LLMs were mainstream.

3 weeks ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Him and Altman also have beef. So it could have also just been him trashing AI to try to hurt OpenAI.

It is interesting that most people do not understand the interaction of supply & demand and how this interaction affects the prices of things we buy.

All of them will downvote my truthful comment.

Downvoting true things that people really don't like to hear is the primary hobby of the Internet.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Your behavior is just so on brand for Imgur. They're not called the laws of supply and demand for nothing.

It's not the theory of supply and demand.

It's a core economic rule.

And until you learn a little bit about economics, I can pretty much guarantee you'll never be self-sufficient.
