I've never had Chicago-style pizza, but I've always wanted to - it looks amazing.

nah that isn't pizza

Chicago pizza isn't pizza, it's meat pie. Also any Sbarro in the US tastes like "the best" chicago pizza, it's beyond overhyped.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Unpopular opinion, I hate deep dish pizza.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The best Chicago style pizza I've ever had was from Detroit

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I want to go to there.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

i just... is this not lasagna? i've never had this so i don't know but... i guess it is pie? pizza pie... when the moon hits your eye?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That is not pizza. It's a fucking cheesecake.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 10

And it tastes like heaven

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It tastes like if heaven had a heaven.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

New Yorker here and that ain't a pizza. Don't get me wrong,I ate some in Chicago and it's delicious, but It's a pizza casserole, not a pizza

I was just in Chicago @OP Tried Gino's East this year instead of Giordano's. Chicago deep dish is the best pizza.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

That's awesome! It's my first time in Chicago and I'm loving it

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At least you're visiting after we furries vacated the area!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Omg I would have loved to see you guys!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those cheese strands are so thick it looks like it could support that massive slice up in the air

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are so many things that aren't really pizza but still delicious.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

as a european, chicago pizza kinda looks disgusting to me..

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yeah if ya can wait an hour to eat

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

nope, thats a tomatoe sauce casserole

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You eat that and you're taking a solid 3-4 hour post meal nap

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's what I'm planning to do

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You eat that and you lose 5 years of life expectancy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dont like my pizza upside down. Nicely browned mozza on the top is the way to go. This looks retarded. There i said it...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like a big calzone

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Thin style is definitely more my cup of tea but I will never say no to Pizza regardless of style

9 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 2

Yes! All pizza is welcome in my life.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Even Little Caesar's Great Value-level pizza?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As Little Caesar's "style" is to have no fuckin' sauce, any reasonable person would say no to that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#allpizzamatters

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Except pineapple pizza.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Chicago also has it's own style of thin crust that is quite good as well

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Veto & Nick's FTW.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chicago thin crust is a whole notha conversation

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

God how I miss Giordano's Pizza.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's the sexiest thing I've seen on Imgur today

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I'm a Lou Malnati's fan myself, but I do enjoy some Giordano's.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

This guy gets it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same, I prefer Lou's but you can't go wrong with either. Sadly I have a GD a block away so I generally just get that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm in the far southwest suburbs so neither is real close. You really can't go wrong though..

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pequod's is that hot ish though

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like a casserole to me. Still delicious though

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Annnnnnnd time to go through all the comments and down vote everyone who says this isn't pizza.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 13

Apple muffins contain pretty much the same ingredients as apple pie, but one is a muffin and one is a pie and never the twain shall meet...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Chicago Pizza is best pizza. Giordanos and Lou's are the bomb

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 8

Lou'ssssssssss

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

pequods!!!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Giordano's is good but I really like Pequod's and LOOOVE Viccino's up in the north 'burbs.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

I've had Pequods with the tomato slices. What's Viccino's like?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So good. One of my best friends lives in Glenview so we always get it when I come into town for a visit. We always get the special.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I LOVE Pequod's!!! It's just so damn good...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Try some Lou malnatis

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Honestly can't remember if I've had them or not... Will try them next time I'm in Chicago.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Skip Giordanos. It's at the bottom of the list as far as Real Chicago pizza is concerned.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's honestly what my friends in Chicago all say as well but the tourists love it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a casserole

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 13

Fighting the good fight

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Goodman

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That is a casserole. Sorry but as a New Yorker if it weighs more than my child it isn't a pizza.

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 21

Can't we all just enjoy the slice of our choosing without someone whipping their dick out for a pissing match.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

*PUTS DICK AWAY ANGRILY* I ALREADY STARTED FIGHTING WITH SEROWORDDAVE UP ABOVE YOU. BUT NOOOO, WE GOTTA BE AMICABLE UP IN THIS BITCH.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Our pizza is a meal. Enjoy folding your street food.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

I WILL. BECAUSE ITS FUCKING DELICIOUS.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You take your politics elsewhere. I'll have a deep dish how I damn well please

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

after seeing pics of chicago deep dish, and tasting NY pizza, i think i like NY style better. sometimes less is more..

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 11

YES I KNOW IM A MONSTER

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

NY pizza looks like grease paper but they insist it's the best.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

New York pizza is shit. Chicago thin crust > New York shit

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 21

Who hurt you?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chicago thin crust? Is that like California Pizza Kitchen?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Calling that a pizza is a bit of a stretch. More like a round casserole of shite

9 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 23

You must be from California where the best pizza you can get is dominoes. Lol!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 7

I'm from Connecticut. You know, where apizza (not fucking pizza, you plebs) was invented by real italian-americans. This is, indeed, shite.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Yeah no.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Are you disagreeing that this is a soggy pile of dough and fat or are you disagreeing that apizza was invented in New Haven

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I can't disagree with a fact, so the former.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

lmfao im kinda with u on this one.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

a world where someone calls pizza sauce and cheese shite is not a world i want to live in

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

There appears to be a whole load of shite in addition to the sauce and cheese. A meatball sub had sauce and cheese too. This looks gross

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

sausage, pepper, mushroom looks gross?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure I would call that pizza..

9 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 16

Ya, I'd call that thing,"Casserole-in-a-Crust-Pan".

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 10

You shit your damn mouth! (Lou Malnati's is the best. The BEST!) yeah. That looks like Giardano's.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 11

I never said it wouldn't be delicious, did I? Just that I would not call it pizza. I love balti even though I don't call that pizza either.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Shut* sorry

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't apologize. "Shit your mouth" gave me a good laugh. But I am drunk, so take from that what you will.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's deep dish pizza but with mushrooms in the center.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

It's casserole

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 10

Is a hotdog a sandwich?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No. It's meat stuffed into an intestine

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How can sandwiches be real if our eyes aren't real?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is it because it doesn't even have a passing resemblance to a pizza?

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 9

Yeah.. pretty much.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dough, cheese, and sauce. In a round pan, with crust on the edges. May not look like YOUR pizza, but it's pizza

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 5

It's a fucking casserole. Not a pizza

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's a casserole.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Technically, american tacos are not even real tacos. Ingredients are way different. You can argue semantics but food changes. This is pizza
