Irony.

Right. They are taking the Lord’s name in vain with this warmongering bullshit.

Re the 10 commandments: No other gods/graven image? Check (gold/money) Name in vain? Check (see above). Steal? Check. Adultery? Big time check. False witness? Check. Covet stuff? Check (Peace Prize, etc.) Covet wife? Check. Sabbath? Check. (Easter rant) That only leaves honoring mom/dad (Don't know his relationship with them) and not killing (release the Epstein files!). He's *almost* got 'em all

Catholics helped all this to happen. They own part of this.

Every damn religion and denomination out there blesses weapons and ammunition, not just in wartime. All of them. While I am on the side of the pope in this current debacle, this is really disingenuous. Then again, religion, disingenuous. Tomayto, tomahto.

It’s amazing how Trump is so, so shitty that he has gotten me rooting for Iran and the Catholic Church.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but he's soft on crime. /s

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, but LET'S BE REAL, the Catholic Church has been doing that for FN CENTURIES.

Good on them for not siding with fascism a second time. We can respect the ability to learn from mistakes, if nothing else.
I would prefer he spoke more plainly and said things like:
Deportation is sin.
Work requirements for the hungry is sin.
"Thoughts and Prayers" is the literal Biblical definition of dead faith.
Public displays of prayer are hypocrisy.

The stuff christians seem to have forgotten.

Let me translate that for you:

"Fuck you Trump, you're an asshole."

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A pope with some introspection?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This guy Popes alright.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats exactly what the catholic church did in the past....

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah sure, but lets not act as if the cults of abraham have commands for blood and violence from the very mythhead.

That's right Pope Leo, read that man to filth!!

"cameroon" ? ?

If you don’t join/follow a religion and believe in magic sky overlords you’ll be less susceptible to manipulation since you’re already being manipulated by that religion =P

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I dunno, humans are pretty easy to manipulate no matter what they believe in

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did say ‘less’ and not immune to it. I get it tho, nuance can be hard.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You did say Less, and that's what I was disagreeing with. I find belief just gives people more tools for manipulation, but it doesn't affect the difficulty of manipulation at all. People are just really easy to manipulate across the board.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh Leo, honey, I have bad news for you about religion in general.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But also, love to see him fighting with Donnie

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know, the thing that made me start questioning, looking into things and ultimately leaving catholicism was realizing that they use their "spiritual" position of authority to push earthly political agendas that don't reflect the truths of reality an all knowing god supposedly inspiring them should know. So I guess +1 for calling someone out correctly but -7 for having the same problem themselves. Like genuinely appreciated, but boy could they do with some introspection.

it's hilarious how the Trump administration can't deflect the criticism from the Roman Catholics simply by saying "Stop raping children first, then we'll take your criticism"..,

4 months ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 2

The pope would just say "You first" and then they'd both laugh.

4 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

... All the way to the bank. Scumbags.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s literally what “taking the lords name in vain” means. It’s right up there with murder, as far as Christianity is concerned.

4 months ago | Likes 142 Dislikes 3

YES I shout that shit from the rooftops! It’s absolutely not saying “oh my god” it’s doing bad shit and saying you’re doing it for god.

4 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

This. I wish more Christians understood the book they proclaim to put son much stock in.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From my biblical knowledge, God literally defines what's good and bad. That's not correct, in my opinion, but God orders plenty of bad shit.
What I'm saying is the only way to know if someone is sinning in this way is to know that their conversation with God was, which there is no way to know if one even occurred.

Wut

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure there is, you just have to acknowledge what is obvious, that it's all made up BS.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The worst thing Trump has ever done is make me sympathize with the Catholic Church. Nah, j/k, it was the raping those kids. But this is still a bummer.

4 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

And Iran, somehow.

The US has gotten so shitty that I’m rooting for Iran and the Vatican.

4 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

This is the BAD PLACE!

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

And I thought Disney was a low point.

4 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Dude, I forgot all about that. Fucking DeSantis made me take Disney’s side, and I felt so dirty about it.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well, if you want to know about weaponizing religion, a Pope is a good person to ask.

4 months ago | Likes 203 Dislikes 12

They know a thing or two about it, yeah.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You can call out bad behavior while still doing it. Being a hypocrite doesn’t make what you say untrue, it just rings hollow

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

My first thought was, hell yeah! My second was, wait, the Crusades.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep, they're the professionals.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Im usually quick to point out the church's own atrocities but let him cook lol

4 months ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 5

Nah. The vatican are the OG pederasts protectors. One of the most mysoginists institutions, and they like to exploit the poor. They always side with right wing politicians. What this person called "the pope" is doing, is just PR.

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

He's the enemy of our enemy, but that doesn't mean he's your friend. The Catholic Church has a long time to go to earn any trust.

That said, let them fight.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was going more for the second half of "it takes one to know one."
If the pope is calling someone out for weaponizing religion, they're definitely doing it.

4 months ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 3

Ah, ok lol. Truth

4 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Wasn't it so that the crusaders adapted religion into their agenda and not vice versa?

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Snake sucking its own dick

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Something something crusades

4 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I think Leo was born a bit after those were over. Not sure, maybe he is 700 years old?!

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm against all religions but even i think it's been a bit too long since the crusades to keep the modern church responsible

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

What about all the sexual abuse of children then? Cause that’s ongoing.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yupp that is disgusting and unforgivable, but that wasn't what I commented on, was it?🤔
