Hello dumpster fire

Hell, adults can hardly be forced to wear a harmless mask

So, it's going to be THEIR fault!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doing risky shit adults disapprove of defines teenagers. They don’t give AF. Small kids are going to trade masks, share food, and wrestle.

At this time, in my province, the plan is basically "pretend that COVID doesn't exist and hope everything works out somehow".

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That plan's worked so well for the US...

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No doubt. 4th grade and above need masks, but otherwise just unspecified "enhanced cleaning procedures". No distancing, class limits, etc.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It'll be fine. Just put a sign that says "Heroes learn here" and they'll be okay.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Pretty much. There is a 100% chance of second graders licking their hands and chasing each other around yelling "Corona!"

6 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 0

I feel like that 100% number is wrong. By like three orders of magnitude. Pretty sure it's 100,000% at the very least.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

well since we have so many grown ups behaving like children, I think the plan is assuming that suddenly the children will behave grown up.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wish I could +2, 1 for the post and one for the username.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

while some of their parents aren't even able to follow much simpler guidlines.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn’t that just a regular assumption schools make of kids anyway?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nonsense! Everyone knows toddlers are perfectly obedient Automata!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im so sad our stupid leaders in Germany are doing the same - I think they look to the US for ideas

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Requires kids to behave better than most adults behave.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If fucking Karens can't do it, what makes you think a 10 year old can?

The Trump virus is going to make education very difficult for a while.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a teacher I fucking agree.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel so lucky to have been raising a 2 year old through this. My prayers with parents of school age children.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

While adults are clustering by the thousands or tens of thousands its crazy to think children would distance. Then again orangeman is crazy

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think kids are underestimated. They can see theres a problem. It's the parents that need to try harder

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not saying to send em to school tho.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too many adults won't put on a mask why should anyone trust their kids to.?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We are paying half of the preschool tuition to hold our spot for a bit because I figured other families would develop herd immunity quickly.

I was laughed at at work today for saying I signed my son up for online learning. Good old Missouri.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a teacher, I can guarantee some kid will purposely cough or sneeze at another kid. Just because

6 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

As a former student... it's not if, but when and how often. Kids can be real assholes.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*looks at the amount of adults who did this*

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Shit, they'll probably lick each other's eyeballs.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It could work... maybe... if we start manufacturing large amounts of duct tape asap

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Every safety plan to reopen the economy has asked adults to act in ways I’ve never seen adults act in.

6 years ago | Likes 572 Dislikes 3

You don't the in

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Oooh. This and OP are spicy cuz they’re true.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

*cries in American*

6 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

I don’t know what you mean, I already wanted to stay the fuck at home

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

*American adults

6 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 3

Psh that was valid before , now the stupids spreading. China gave us Covid whole America exports stupid and conspiracy theory

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Can you really call them adults?

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I live in England. Trust me... the stupid exists here too.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The president’s plan was for everyone to act like jerks. Quite a few people have followed the plan so far.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Europe did it

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

And half of them STILL don’t act like adults anyway

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh boy. Even if the lock down never included me and we had the capital area separated from the rest of the country (Nordic country) by ->

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Roadblocks from the police, I've still been driving my van with a full hazmat suit and gasmask with me, a liter of hand sanitiser, full ->

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ski-mask that I use with my helmet when going to construction sites etc etc etc. What the hell is the problem with most of the people?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pic related

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That’s not the problem. Expecting kids to act more responsible than their adult counterparts is absurd. Fuck I hate Republicans.

6 years ago | Likes 204 Dislikes 15

Over over and I’ll show you the problem, rape culture username.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

having seen "adult" reactions to wearing masks, i think they have a good shot at being more responsible

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

My thought exactly. How dare we, as adults, try to pass the buck of containing a pandemic to children for the economy or whatever it is

6 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

It's what politics has been doing for half a century now, they're just saying it to your face this time.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

A friend told me that her cousin sent her child to a small, social distancing playdate with a few other kids. Kid left with a batman mask

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

/2 and came home with a spiderman mask...they switched masks. They can't open these schools.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Getting young children (5+) to wear a mask constantly is doable. Getting them to reliably manage their mask use by context...not so much.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes I’ve seen a bunch of kid’s who have been fine wearing masks b/c their parents are doing it too.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That said, if their parents are whiny about it, it'll be a mess. And that's the problem. Not hard to teach. Easy to teach wrong.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I MISS Republicans. The kind I could debate economic theory and international policy with, that don't deny science, or allow kids in cages.

6 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 4

I used to have wonderfully fun discussions with my uncles about politics. Now they are insane and it’s not fun to talk politics. It’s sad.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You must be a thousand years old.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

So you're, what, 70?

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Too bad they lost control of their party and then rejected reason for madness.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

They've been on this gradual decline towards this since Nixon. This was the inevitable result.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You seem to be assuming this is an endpoint, not a step on the way to something even worse. I'm expecting a violent right-wing uprising 1/

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/ a la Handmaid's Tale sooner rather than later.
