Nice. I'm going to be making my middle a chess board for his next birthday. He's become quite obsessed with it: he's on the chess team and only asked for chess books for Christmas. It's also all he plays on his phone. Still thinking about what woods to use, I'm leaning towards walnut and white oak, but I haven't settled yet.

Beautiful, stunning work, but like...the board is set up wrong. Bottom right square is supposed to be white for both players, and queens go on their own color. I seriously do love the wood working though, great job.

Very nice, but your setup is wrong. Turn the board so the bottom right corner has a white square and the queens always start on squares of their own color.
