Na, it's the only "Smith transition" in the film missing the supporting visual blur or audio (magic wand noise) announcing the transition. In the previous frame he looks over his shoulder instead of turning around. My opinion from my own limited experience is that the rig and harness equipment was still on site configured from the previous Neo / Smith scene and it just saved time and money to have him fall on his back. Or maybe Wachowski's thought shooting from behind was cowardice.
