She beat out New Zealander Valerie Adams who was trying to 3-peat olympic gold in the shotput, but won out on her final throw of the games, setting a new US record in the process, earning the first US medal since 1960 and bringing home the first Ever US gold in women's shotput. Did shotput in high school. Had a great coach who taught us to do that. It becomes second nature, but her form looks absolutely flawless.
