I'm a cashier at a big name grocery store. Most of our customers are actually pretty pleasant, although sometimes annoying. There are some customers that horrible people though, they make the job hell.

Every day. It's the dad joke of the retail world. They think they're hilarious every time.

There's a specific button for the debit card, and a specific button for each of the credit cards we accept. In most cases the customer just makes a mistake. Other times they change their mind about which card they use and don't bother to tell you. At least half the time, they will treat me like I'm the idiot though. Which is what really irks me.

This is super annoying. All prices are on our system and sales appear automatically. It's rare that the price comes up wrong. In most cases, if it comes up wrong, it's because the customer has the wrong item.

As far as I know, no grocery store is allowed to do this. If a box is open, we can't sell it. For the customers safety. It could be expired or tampered with.

It doesn't matter whether it's one cash open or all of them. Customers seem to think that being in line more than two minutes is unacceptable. No matter how busy the store is.

I don't understand why people take out their issues with the price on the cashier. There absolutely nothing that we can do about it. Sometimes I agree that it's an absolute ripoff. But it's not my problem.

At the store I work at. Customers can pay with their paycheques. We simply take the payment from the cheque, and give them the change in cash (the sum of the groceries needs to equal about 20% of the cheque). We can not cash cheques without a purchase. This specific customer wanted the latter. When we told him we don't cash cheques, he proceeded to yell at me, the supervisor, the front end manager, and then the store manager. He left empty handed.

This one really fucking pissed me off. The cash registers freeze up from time to time. Causing the cashier and customer to have to go to another register and start again. At worst it's a minor inconvenience.

The customer decided this was totally unacceptable and took it out on the supervisor, who is one of the sweetest, most hardworking people I know. She does anything for the cashiers to help them serves the customers better, and does anything she can to give the customer a good shopping experience. The customer started with the regular stuff, "this is unacceptable", "I'm never shopping here again", "worst service I've ever had". Then, this bitch made it personal, calling her a "stupid bitch", and "fucking retard". All before leaving without her groceries. 10 minutes later she breaks out in tears after the evening rush dies down a bit.

This one was a weird one. This woman was a known shoplifter, who had no apparent game plan going into this one. She walks into the store on a busy day, gets her stuff, and comes to my cash. She puts her items on my belt and asks to use the phone at my register, which only connects to other phones in the store. By this time the security guard knows she's there and is standing behind me after tailing her around the store. She then frantically searches for money. Only to pull out $5. She leaves to use the pay phone, I suspend her order and move on to the next customer. 15 minutes she returns, security still watching, pays the $5 and takes only the milk (didn't take her change). She loses her mind at the security guard as he passes him.

This one also pissed me off. I was just starting my shift when I overheard a customer say "what a faggot" about one cashier to the other cashier that was serving him. The cashier who was serving him, who has three children (all gay), gave him a nasty look but in the end just ignored him.

Those of you who are still reading this, thanks for reading. Truth be told I really like where I work. The people I work with are amazing. And we get some amazing, diverse customers, cute kids, and good memories. It'll be hard to leave when it comes time.

People are assholes: at the supermarket edition

I was ready to up vote until the lie that the register is rarely wrong. Nope, now I don't believe any of this.

I try to be a gracious guest at grocery stores just because I feel sorry for all the bullshit I have seen people put you through

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

My sister is one of those ppl. I hate shopping with her. She makes a big deal about everything!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How are literal paycheques still a thing? Why do you not just transfer the money straight into employees accounts? Pure madness...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A lot of people refuse to get bank accounts. Whether distrust or their funds being in a chokehold for some reason.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Though as somebody who uses direct deposit, I'm as confused as you.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I worked at a grocery store, one day a man in a gorilla suit bought 1 banana, no one else say this. To this day, no one believes me.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I dream of a day I could just leave them standing and be like:

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have one customer who is determine to get me fired because I won't substitute the items on her Wic voucher . A free state program.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

True story.. me: Sorry, but our CC machine is temp down. I will have to use manual card machine or different payment. Customer: Fix it...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I work in the grocery stock room and only cashier as a backup for MAYBE 10min a day. My Job is super chill and the actual cashiers are heros

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I work backend/replenishment and even i hear the "it didn't scan, must be free" shit so much i want to kill myself... fuck customers

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think a lot of adults with kids start to lose their shit as time goes by and they can't deal with people in a courteous way anymore.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hate it when people shit talk employees to their co workers. it's like even if I hate them, I'm most likely on their side.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We recently moved from a southern city where obviously "the People Of Walmart" was invented. Way better than a zoo and it's free.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

????????????

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry to confuse you.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got yelled at because there was a 2gram difference from my scale and the one at the fruit. I was just thinking "Dude its apples not cocaine"

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

????????????

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a cashier you obviously set the prices, program the systems, make the schedule and stock the shelves

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I knew it!!! Thanks for clearing that up /s

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a retail employee who's been doing this in everything from electronics to grocery to hardware since 2007, I feel your pain, @op.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cashiers can be douches too. Humans are funny that way. If you really like where you work then tells us those stories, not this bullshit.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I worked at a grocery store through college. Got called a "fuckin retard" by ppl who looked like crackheads and paid for everything with WIC

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No matter what you do you're wrong in their eyes and they're entitled to everything so it sucks, but usually the employees make it worth it

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most of these people are just miserable counts looking to unload whenever they have an opportunity

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You mean like Count Dracula? Can I be a Count too? I hear they have lots of $$, and I'd be happy to unload some of it like you said

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm a customer service rep at my grocery store. A lady called one of my cashiers a bitch because she didn't talk. It's cause she's deaf -_-

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Then she demanded for her to have a tag on her to signify she's deaf. Told her to shop somewhere else.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

We have banned people from our animal shelter because they're assholes. Or if they adopt and return animals more than once.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Although that is not the way to react, I actually agree that they should have a tag.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

yeah. When I've worked retail, we refuse to serve people who call us names without provocation. Last story wouldn't have gotten service.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What are the odds of having THREE gay children?

10 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 1

I've known quite a few gay siblings. Don't think I've ever met more than two in a family though.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Knew two sisters, one gay, one bi. They said the majority of their family was either gay or bisexual too.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not bad odds tbh, but could be they adopted LGBT youth who often need a parent(s).

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I have 2 gay siblings and i'm bi sexual myself :p

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1 in 37,000?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All of my cousins (on both sides) have had gay phases but that may have been more of a social thing than a legit sexuality thing

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

I'm gay and all four of my brothers are straight, I wish I had gay brothers -_-

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You know how that looks like, my fellow peterpuffer?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

*soft tears* They called me a faggot... *hysterical crying* ... AND THEY WERE RIGHT!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There there ...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I knew 3 sisters who were all gay. I assume, to an extent, it's genetic.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

I believe the other, I think it is the environment. Kinda like if you have two parents that are Christian, you tend to be Christian.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

I mean, one is definitely born gay, not made gay. Is that even a debate anymore? Pretty sure it's a genetic/inherited trait.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not trolling, there is no evidence that supports you are born gay or whatever. However, I do think it is nurture and not nature. Its okay

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We are all allowed our own opinions. And since there is zero evidence to support any of it... Then ill choose my side.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I choose to believe you're trolling

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I don't troll, I do sometimes act sarcastic tho. But not in this case. A lot of people do not know how much influence your environment has.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rare I'm assuming. I thought she was full of shit when she told me until I met them. Nope, they're gay.

10 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 3

Not if it's linked to genetics. Studies regarding homosexuality are labyrinthine and they will sometimes exclude subjects with gay family.

10 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

Why?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Afaik, trying to link homosexuality with other factors. They do studies specifically with twins where one is hetero and one is homo.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I mean, how old are they?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The youngest is in her mid-teens

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

well she could change but probably not

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah ok, I was picturing 5 - 8 lol

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

before you call me homophobic or something dumb most teens change sexuality a lot sauce: I participate in lgbt stuff at school

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

loI don't think most teens definitely do not change their sexuality unless we talk about drunken college stuff. U probably met BI ppl.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I used to work in a gas station type deal with my uncle every summer. He was so lovely to work with because he didn't believe in 1/3

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"in customer is always right" so if someone gave me shit he would push them off their high horse and tell em to show respect or get out. 2/3

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Having the power to refuse people service for being asshole makes for a much nicer time behind the counter 3/3

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

When I worked at a grocery market if a can was dented we were technically not supposed to sell it

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Most groceries in my area have an end cap or buggies that contain dented cans, resealed/smashed boxes, discont items at discounted prices.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We aren't either. But if a customer wants to buy it then who are we to stop them?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In UK they acctually discount dented cans, broken boxes (sometimes sealed with tape :D)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most stores in my area donate the dented cans to the local food banks. They get the write off and we help feed people

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So because it's unsafe for someone to buy it's safe enough for the poor?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It isn't unsafe. Most people just won't buy dented. We inspect the cans and those deemed unsafe are tossed.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wonder how many of these customers have ever worked retail? I feel like that should be mandatory for all citizens for at least 6 months.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Right? It really teaches people what we have to deal with.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Worked at Red Lobster then Best Buy, I agree so much with this.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I actually grocery shop for a living. I interact with cashiers an average of 50-60 times a week. I've seen all of this happen. Really stupid

10 years ago | Likes 411 Dislikes 6

Are you one of those people that buy alcohol to see if the cashier asks for your ID? 31er snitch Geist

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm thankful for you shoppers out there, it's been good to not have the stress of trying to figure out how to get food home on a subway

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Man. I'm always tired after I go to the store. Is it exhausting?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope. I thought it would be, too, because I was the same way. But, when you're doing it as a job, it's different somehow.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I want to grocery shop for a living.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

www.shipt.com if you're in the southeast.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Way back when first married my wife did a similar job for awhile, mostly checking prices.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Notice by some answers why store clerks have it so bad. Is it drugs or are people really this stupid?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People are really stupid

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Amazingly in my 77 years I've had few problems. I quietly laugh it off or joke about it. It's the young mothers swearing at children

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and kids talking like drunken sailors we hate. Arrest the parents and evict them from stores till they show respect.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have to ask. Why do American Credit/Debit readers not automatically decide? Australian readers handle both types w/o fuss.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

This confussed me as well. I never came across that in Europe.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

AtWalmart they swipe then the reader tells us if they do debit or credit and we would press that button, now it's all the same button though

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most of them are automatic in Canada, those that don't I think have it linked to their own in-store system.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The verification system is different. (credit needs a signature, debit needs a pin #) Some systems decide automatically but most don't.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think in most european countries the system will automatically ask for one or the other.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see! Signatures aren't even valid in Australia anymore. It's all PIN based. Also, when entering my Debit Card info for international (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

websites, it's automatically treated as 'Credit'. So, I'm not sure what's going on behind the scenes there. (2/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most of em 1)assume credit, and have you press a button to switch to debit, or 2) ask you which you want. People are just stupid, is problem

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Opposite for ours at Walmart, it assumes debit and when it asks for a pin you can change to credit

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Small difference. Still has the bottom line of "people are stupid" :)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now I tend to tear into these asshole customers since I don't work at the store and I cannot be fired for saying what everyone is thinking.

10 years ago | Likes 239 Dislikes 2

Instacart has saved my sanity more than once

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not all heroes wear capes

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I love you.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Welcome to Costco

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is people like you that are my favorite. Thank you for doing this. It really does make my day when someone speaks up.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No problem. I really enjoy it. haha

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are doing gods work

10 years ago | Likes 164 Dislikes 0

I consider myself lucky that I have never seen any of this happen in person

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love it when a cashier apologizes for the wait or something, and I respond with things like "Oh it's okay, I'm not like some ass-hole-

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

who can't stand waiting in line for more than thirty seconds. Take all the time you need." Usually within ear shot of the guilty party.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I paid my dues in retail. It's cathartic haha.

10 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

When i get out of the retail industry, i'll probably be doing the same thing. I've seen far too much BS in stores like this post describes

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I kinda started as soon as I had the chance. No manager or employee has ever said "You shouldn't have done that" haha.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

excuse me... what do you do ?

10 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

Instacart?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're called secret shoppers. They'll shop at places and get paid to review how the store was and the friendliness of staff.

10 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 6

I assume something like peapod, or caregiver type stuff

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Which part of my description of the job was unclear?

10 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 46

Make a job stories post @HerrGeist

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Maybe some day.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How? How can I do this also?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My colleague says that she's signed up online to do mystery shopping. https://www.thesourceagents.com/index.aspx

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

awesome

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How much do you make? I need a job right now.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Meh. $17-$20/hr depending. I cleared $850 last week.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

Do you get paid in coupons?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Did he fukin stutter?

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 7

What you said makes no sense. Wanna try again?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 34

The way you said it, can easily be understood as a bit condescending, so he's just making a joke ^^

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wanna stop being a cunt?

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Wow, you can literally see the commenters turn against you. Good job!

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

you grocery shop for a living ? that how most people spend there money, not make it

10 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 2

I see. Yes, it's a delivery service called Shipt that mainly exists in the southeast US right now, but I know they just started in Detroit.

10 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 6

ahhh ok

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

South East? Hmmm... Interesting.... quickly Robin, fetch me my " I hate my fucking job and need a new one" device

10 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

@herrgeist, I just started with them. I love it.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Interesting! What makes your company special and better than online shopping experience? I am curious.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I did something similar for a store located in a part of town with a large elderly population. So many orders asking for tapioca pudding...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like peapod, right? If you know what that is...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just ordered groceries online for the first time, but the guy left before i could tip him. Are tips not standard?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This makes way more sense than shopping for a living

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, instacart on the west coast too

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Similar to inst-a-cart it sounds.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I occasionally do #4 just to verify that it rings up as that price but I try to be polite about it. "That was labeled x it rang up as that?"

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

See, that's fine. When it's the snooty "On the shelf it said ____" or "It's supposed to be ____" it gets old fast

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, there's nothing as horrifying as getting home and seeing you actually paid full price for those Pringles while on a tight budget

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Man I hate realising I paid full price for something when the only reason I bought something was because it was half price

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I do that too. Happened often too me that I decided to but something coz on sale and they ring me full price.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My favorite was the one who hated being called "miss," but wouldn't give me any other name to call her. She called the cops after she left.

10 years ago | Likes 134 Dislikes 0

HAHA! At least one thing that the german language does easier :D

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've gotten that too! When did this become a thing?!

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

"Mizz," Is the unassuming safe bet. It's ambiguous as far as relationship status.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ms

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know that they are written differently, and technically should be pronounced differently, but does anyone actually do it?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why I universally use "dude"

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Miss sounds kinda snippy, so ma'am is typically preferred. Of course, there are people that only use that sarcastically, so who knows.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I've gotten yelled at for ma'am as well.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd totally prefer miss over ma'am.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I get around this by never calling anyone, anything.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Best move possible.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't love being called miss either, but certainly not enough to correct someone in this situation, let alone be a cunt about it.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 5

I usually use miss because it is easily better recieved than "ma'am " so unless I know your name, you're "miss." Sorry.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Like insaid, in that situation it's no big deal, that woman shouldn't be angry about it. I prefer the title Ms. on mail and whatnot. Miss is

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

For children. It's a diminutive term that is insulting after about 20 yrs old. Mrs. Is outdated as why should my title change with my

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Marital status?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What would you prefer someone to address you as if they don't know your name?

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

"Hey you"

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Hey Ferg Face!

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I've heard people don't like "ma'am" either. Guess I'll have to go with "hey lady!"

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Alo Gov'na!"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Miss I guess, that's what I mean, I wouldn't correct them in this situation. But if I get mail with miss, or in my case, mrs., it bothers

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The shit out of me. I'm Ms. Because my title shouldn't change when I get married.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Miss is for women who have never been married, Mrs. is for women who are married and Ms. is for divorcees.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Plus, I'm kind of too old for miss, I guess ma'am is more appropriate. I'm in that midrange where neither of them sounds appropriate.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not sure where the "if it doesn't scan, must be free" thing came from. I remember every time my item didn't scan, the cashier would just >

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My response to the "It must be free" thing is "Actually Sir, it's priceless." usually gets a laugh.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

> type in the bar code number manually on the computer and it would ring up.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Normally that's what we do. Most times there's just a misprint that's causing the scanner to not read it correctly

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A customer once told me that back in the day (1950s) if an item would not scan, then it actually was given away for free.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure scans are younger than that, lol. But yeah, I'm pretty sure when it was introduced ppl freaked out about the system stuffing up

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So it was advertised that if it messed up you'd get the item free. They dropped that a long time ago, because the tech became standard

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

But people remember.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

1950s?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what the customer told me. Could be inaccurate.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cashiers are people too, folks seem to forget that. I try to line up the bar codes for items so that they're not hunting for them.

10 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 1

12 packs of soda always get turned bar code up on the bottom of my cart.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a cashier, thank you.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thanks for pointing this out. Always happy to make someone's day a little easier, just wouldn't have thought of this myself!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's a good idea, I'll need to remember to start doing that.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

You are a good person. I hate when people throw their items all over the place. Or when they leave random things in their cart

I'm a cashier and every time someone turns the bar codes up I wanna hug them. That's a real, live human being to me.
