I mean even when it was all-mechanical it was tuned to shift the odds against you.

This stuff was never fair. It was always predatory and imho shouldn’t be legal anywhere.

Same thing about the national lottery. My parents keep buying tickets hoping to get instantly rich. If you look at the people buying tickets, they’re always poor people. And they’re being prayed on and become even poorer.

Fuck casinos and lotteries and scratch cards and the “cut the cord, win an iPhone” machines and such.
