#45 Oh, I did that yesterday. "Where are you? I'm standing by the cashier..."

"No you're not. This is customer service."

"I'm standing by the customer service desk..."

#34 it's "jumpS" over the lazy dog, not "jumped," otherwise there's no S. There, humanity saved.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Yeah but the other sentence corrected the error (Sphinx) and it's admittedly way cooler

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or - jumped over the lazy dogs

#24 That’s called flexibility, my friend, not a weakness!

#34 ...because "Sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow" doesn't have an 'f' in it, that's why.

#45 had this happen on an elevator where two guys were debating which chain Mexican restaurant was best and they said chipotle as. “Cha POL tey” like 10 times in rapid succession and I had the overwhelming urge to force the doors open and throw either them or me into the empty shaft

#15 We would all be typing out our response on separate notebook type apps. Which I do anyway sometimes when I'm on a lousy service, like imgur at times, which constantly shuts down for periods of time while I'm in the midst of typing.

#49 - Textual study of documents from the day suggest that "right to bear arms" idiomatically meant "right to join a militia" rather than "right to privately carry firearms." Since the National Guard exists, that right is already satisfied and all this 2nd amendment stuff gun carrying stuff is not founded in the original meaning

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 5

Actually, it's a reference to the fact that the constitution confers the power on the government to create a standing army out of necessity, so the people keep the right to arm themselves for self defense.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The national guard is not a right, and it's not "the people."

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's sure as fuck not 'well regulated'.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It being interpreted as personal gun owning is staggeringly new. Like, the first court to read it that way was in 2001 new.

#46 If you don't eat your crusts you don't get any ice cream

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

How can you have any ice cream if you don't eat your crusts?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Pizza bones

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

'ow can ye have any pudding if ya don't eat yer meat!?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on the crust. Most crust is fine but occasionally you get one that's dryer than the desert and is just miserable to chew.

#5 Is that a RussianBadger meme I see?

#48 if cops can execute you, you don’t have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Cops are legally allowed to kill you if it is in the course of doing their job. Even if you are a bystander.

This is so stupid and yet I laughed my ass off reading it! +10

#34 F?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#32 that's on you, Paul. Why would anybody assume their workplace - issued work calendar they use for workplace appointments was private?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because the two most commonly used calendars (Gsuite and MS) both have options for sharing calendar details or just displaying "blocked"?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#19 I would never dream of purposely deadnaming a person, but I'll do it to Facebook and Twitter all day and not even care.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Considering corporations arent people, and they would instantly deadname you if given the opportunity, its only fair. Its the same way I purposely misgender and improperly name people I know are 'phobes

Musk changed Twitter's name out of a narcissistic desire to prove to people from 30 years ago that X.com is too an awesome name for a website when they said it wasn't, and Zuck changed Facebook's name because he read a lot of cyberpunk novels and missed the dystopia part. There's no reason to respect those name changes.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

His idea of "the Metaverse" is literally stolen directly from a cyberpunk novel.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was even called that in the book.

#34 Where's the F?

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 7

is there an “s” in the first one though, i think it’s meant to be either “jumps” or “dogs”.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

There are repeat letters here. Are there any sentences that use only the 26 letters of the alphabet?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Technically yes, but only using "headline"-style sentences with loanwords. E.g. "Fjord cwm glyphs quiz vext bank."

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

cwm fjord-bank glyphs vext quiz

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0
