You’re not tho. Basic food safety is that if you touch ANYTHING that is not a food contact surface you change gloves. Worked in place that was SUPER strict about that and can’t pay attention to food workers now or I want to vomit as most food safety is theater. They’ll touch their phone, their hair/hat, their glasses, their clothes and then go right back to touching food w/o changing gloves.

I believe frequent hand washing is better than glove centric kitchen exactly because of the belief that gloves are protecting from cross contamination. You'd have to change gloves literally dozens of times in a shift if not hundreds.
