romantic comedies are fine, just add something else to them, you don't eat straight sugar don't you? make them masteries/drama/action something besides a romance flick

Too much creepy behaviour and too many consent violations for me to actually enjoy romantic comedy...

I can't really think of any pure romantic comedies I've seen. I did enjoy "P.S I Love You" though and I'm pretty sure that counts.

Does hallmark do "intentional" Rom-Coms? I would have said they were straight romantic movies and any comedy or cheese was down to poor handling during editing, but I'm not a professional movie categoriser...

I think they’ve tried to market them as romantic comedies but at the end of the day they’re really just roms with not too much coms.
That’s a niche that definitely would attract more that channel.
