One Bud Light Lime-a-rita, coming up!
cryborg
I would not need a waiter's help. I would be requesting a Lyft.
DudelyVanhorn
been married for a while and with her even longer but if this happened to me i would gladly ask for a split check at the end of that. Loudly
Nnoodles
I have only ever had one first date in my life. It was that bad! Well, that and I'm married now, wife might not approve.
sarahSpaceRunner
Saw a lady at Cheesecake Factory scolding her waiter, "I said I wanted ALLL that shit!!!! Where is the whipped cream!?!" It was a margarita
godofhorizons
I wonder what the answers would have been if it was the worst thing a man has done on a first date
Becker37
Sounds like a cunt but so is expecting sex so ?♀️
stevekemerer
Or you could man up and say if you want that drink you can pay for it. Women that do that on first date you need to run from.
JemIsTrulyOutrageous
This makes me die inside. I cannot imagine thinking I deserve the most expensive of anything. Even when I'm treated I pick whats cheap.
MotionOfTheOcean
I pick the cheapest especially when treated
burpwind
I generally don't tip, but I'd tip him.
ZKintzer
I hope you're not American
Who cares?
Servers in America make next to nothing without tips
arfysdad
Dinner at her home. Nice meal. When we had finished she set the plates on the floor for her dog to lick and when he was finished she put
back in the cupboard. I walked out then.
Duskz
Why is it so hard to pay for your own shit? We're dating adults right? Ones with jobs and shit? Yea? Then pay for your shit.
thetinymonarch
I don't get people like that, if someone else is paying I'm picking water and bread as my meal.
wellembalmed
My wife, of nearly 10 years, ordered a white russian on the 1st date. 3 sips, she said "thats enough, I'm lactose intolerant". Power Move
francoisparaviccini101
It happened to me too, i left as soon as I herd that
coastercrazypics
I hope he gave him a fat tip
xxdayoffatexx
First date, woman ordered anything she could. Wine, food, you name it. Finished the meal, head to restroom. Waiter (male) came in.
Overheard the date on the phone laughing and joking with a friend. Saying she was on a date not with her boyfriend and I was paying.
He already split the bill and I handed him the credit card. Came back and showed me he saved me 60 bucks. Left him a 60 dollar tip and left.

The silver lining there is you know right up front she's NOT the one.
Howlingowl
Only a sociopath chooses a drink they don’t like specifically because it’s expensive and they’re not paying
rudejohn
While I agree, there are times I get a lot of the expensive thing on a buffet because I couldn't afford a plate of it. Kind of same behavior
BananaForScaIe
Except buffet doesn't cost someone else for your indulgence. That's just being like China.
Callito
But you pick the an expensive thing you enjoy eating? Mit JUST because its expensive right?
Yeah, I may love shrimp and a baked potato equally, but will fill a buffet plate with shrimp rather than eating the potato.
But I don't get caviar or lamb, which I dislike, JUST because they are expensive.
MPatt08
Getting something because it's expensive and not because I really want it? Yeah. Kind of the same.

One time a girl picked up $5 from the floor and said this must be yours. I took it and placed in on the bar. 1/2
She then stood at bar and asked if I would buy her a drink. I said yes. She ordered Long Island iced tea. $7. true story
TarrkertheNewt
Had this happen on my first date ever with a girl. I got up and walked out. It was 1996 so... everyone hated me for that. x_x
Feralkyn
Man, as a woman, idc what year it was that's a shitty thing to do. (On HER side, not yours!)

Maybe a joke? Typical biz dinners: "He's paying", "well then what's the most expensive..." followed by white business guys in suits laughter

Chick can bounce before the end and stiff you with the bill. It’s the common “fool me once, fool me twice” scenario.
This guy has been through some shit. Damn.
SaveitforQueenDoppelpoppolus
this feels like an “and then the whole bus clapped” that an incel came up with to justify hating women but okay whatever
NuclearButtPlugFromPlanetX
I agree. Upvoting this post.
1st rule of the internet is people lie. My sister pulls this kind of shit though, but shes also a terrible human in general.
eadanke
Really? This sounds ridiculously tame for "the worst thing a woman has done on a first date"
its not about “worst thing” its that she has no agency; she not asking for a drink she likes thats expensive, its just whatever is expensive
the drink isnt something she’ll consume and enjoy, its just a prop because the main character here isnt the woman its the man’s wallet
then this caricature of greed that op somehow agreed to out with gets her comeuppance through bro solidarity - this is incel wank bullshit
AltruisticMoron
Haven't dated a lot of women I take it? ?
if every woman you got out with is just there for free food and drinks maybe you should take a sec and think about what that says about you!
Way to bend over backwards to intentionally misinterpret the post
GoodBrotherGrimm
To be fair, he never once said "every women I've dated has done this". But date enough of either gender and you'll run into some assholes.
DarkHollowDulcimers
I went to pick up a woman for a first date and she wasn't even ready; she was sitill in her bubblebath with candles and stuff all around.

In fact, I'm pretty sure my partner would have found it condescending if I even offered.
