He would definitely get the reference, especially the specific cheeses he used.

I almost made this meme involving death cap mushrooms in a beef wellington, but I was like, "Nah, someone might deem that a threat or something."

It wasn't "that one time" because he's actually fucked up grilled cheese TWICE.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That grilled cheese was just awful in almost every way. I would laugh my ass off if someone did that on Hell's Kitchen or one of his other shows but pretended to be ultra serious about it. Make one small insignificant adjustment to make it their own, but act all serious like "This is an homage from the best chef I know". I'm a bit of a smartass and wouldn't care if it got me kicked off the show.

Bro are you Australian? Because...

Josh from Mythical Kitchen did a really funny response to Ramsay's horrid grilled cheese video. Josh absolutely roasts him on that grilled cheese. It was pretty funny.

I would go on and serve him one of his own shitty Gordon Ramsay branded microwave meals. Just nuke it right in front of them, slap it on a plate, bring it right up to him with the box so the camera can get a good look, set it down and just stare at him while I wait for him to take a bite. He endorses it. It's got his face on it so it must be good, right?

Oh. Also I bid you a fine fuck you @Lassannn

He was also doing a thing with adding eggs to different dishes. For some fucking reason he decided to do that with a frito chili cheese pie.

Grilled cheese using garlic butter, with diced onions inside. Delicious

https://youtube.com/watch?v=8E4cQHejFq0&is=37_vArF2be4F9aj2 ok I hadn't seen this soo here's the link, I was kinda ok with the weird cheese, like, maybe some with a microplane, but srsly, does he not know how cheese works‽ and just totally lost me at kimchi, like there were all the ingredients there for a nice lunch, that is NOT what he made, that whole thing has to be kinda vaguely cold and soggy...

3 days ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Now wtf does that "grilled" abomination have to do with Australia? Also always smacking the knife on the cutting board before cutting something is so fuckin pretentious. Also I enjoy fermented times but hot kimchi alone sounds like vomit. Add a medium stanky cheese like a Parmesan? Fuhgetabouttit that's Barftown, USA right there.

Think the ol' algorithm is trying to tell me I should prepare a Grilled Cheese sandwich or get a pizza later.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Giving someone that fuckin' cheese sandwich is basically a threat.

3 days ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Here. Eat this hard brick of cheese.

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I rewatch his soupy scrambled eggs occasionally. Maybe it tastes good I don't know, but it does look unappetizing.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I make French Toast, every time. Enough for the whole crew, no matter the assignment.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Never can get in on the ground floor with you. Either way, fuck you LASSANN!!! 😉

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Watched him make scrambled eggs once. well, he said he was making scrambled eggs but he made a vaguely lumpy slurry that should be dumped in a pig trough instead of served as scrambled eggs to a human. it looked like a dog ate scrambled eggs, then vomited about an hour later

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I’d make him my mom’s red beans and rice with cornbread.

3 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

TIL about Sloppy Bread. Three eggs, two boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix, one 15 oz can of Manwich sauce baked in a 9x13. I doubt Gordon is ready for this, but I think I am. https://youtube.com/shorts/V7cTRh9ulGQ?is=GtP599HVe77kJT-P

If you go on there you can’t go wrong with this simple recipe

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ramsey has a sense of humor and it would be pretty funny

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

His 'perfect' scrambled eggs suck as well.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's weird how Ramsay totally changed his on screen persona from "irrational raging shithead" to "tough but fair super nice guy" and nobody really seemed to notice

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The only time I've really seen him seem 'irrational' was on Hell's Kitchen, which was fair because none of the contestants are supposed to be amateurs or making stupid basic mistakes because they're competing to be that year's best chef. He'd get pissed at people on Kitchen Nightmares because they're supposed to be running restaurants but often either didn't care about customers or the job they were doing.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

But even after breaking down the chefs/owners, he'd still end up following them away from the crew and help to support or build them back up so they could take care of their business.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There were a few episodes where the owners were genuinely trying and he was kind and respectful off the bat, but when their chef didn't care got doubled down on.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah. He was 'rationally angry' with competitive chefs who seemingly didn't know how to do their job. He'd be angry with chefs/owners who showed zero care during business hours after asking for his help. But I would never say he was totally irrational.

Hell I remember one contestant on HK who only had a few years of being a cook (not a chef like everyone else) and he was lenient with her while still expecting her to know the requirements or to quickly pick things up.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The raging guy was only ever just a put upon character for American shows. The nice but fair british guy is how he usually is.

3 days ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I figured. There was that weird period in the aughts where americans couldn't get enough of Brits screaming at us for some reason

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We did. There's been plenty of memes about it. But many of us actually matured and realized that the "irrational raging shithead" was actually warranted.

Like, I saw a Hell's kitchen where one of the "professional chefs" basically took it upon himself to cut up all the shrimp (which wasn't supposed to be a thing) and basically ruined it all before the dinner...yea, that crash out is far from "irrational".

The only recipe of his I've ever heard be recommended is his beef Wellington, which I'm not going through the trouble of making.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He is, flaws included, one of the most successful chefs in the world, and has infact gone around the world learning and teaching cooking to millions.

He takes cooking and being a chef very seriously, which is why "professionals" who don't know a thing set him off. But he's actually very nurturing and a great teacher to people who want to learn.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends what you're looking for, I guess. Personally, I enjoy kitchen nightmares occasionally because you get the catharsis of bad bosses getting called out for their bullshit, but literally the SECOND they put their egos down and ask for help, he also does a 180 in attitude and is very kind and reassuring, and he's pretty good at getting down to the actual root of the problem.

3 days ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately too many are still entrenched in their bad habits and fail days to months after he leaves. Of course, many were beyond saving just due to debt.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Kitchen Nightmares UK is 100 times better than the US version, really shows the actual process and discussion he goes through rather than 90% melodrama.

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Same. I might be in the minority but I can't stand him.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Fuck you @Lassannn for historical purposes, but how dare you talk about a grilled cheese in that manner!?

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Would.. would you consider using Spam in the grilled cheese sandwiches?

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I wish I could eat spam, but apparently my digestive system refuses to act upon it and it passes through seemingly unscathed

i cant find it anymore but there's a video somewhere of ironmouse reacting to gordon ramsey making pegao and she fucking loses her mind over how wrong he gets it

3 days ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 7

Abuelita don’t play😂😂😂

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

the reason she got so mad is that pegao is the caramelized crust of a dutch oven rice dish, several different ones, there's no specific pegao dish, and gordon made fried rice with beans...

There’s a well‑known clip where Gordon Ramsay gets firmly called out by a Thai chef for making a pad thai that the chef says “is not pad thai at all.” https://youtube.com/shorts/vyUFvJrEfkw

yes this! i fucked up and used his recipe for jasmine rice for my vietnamese friend's parents. they were visibly disturbed, but attempted to be polite.

3 days ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I feel like i watched him make scrambled eggs that were basically creme and its like... wut?

3 days ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Maybe it's some. French bullshit, cos he trained there?

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

His own son told him he prefers diner scrambled eggs to his.

3 days ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I can believe it. I dunno what it is with gourmet versions of stuff but they always end up with some weird texture that just looks unpleasant.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's a preference thing. French style scrambled eggs have a tiny curds and aren't cooked until solid, so they're creamy and a bit gooey. American/English style has them in larger curds that are cooked solid.

I prefer American style myself (Though I don't really like either), but I'm not about to tell all of France they're wrong for liking their own style.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"it's saying don't eat me" lol

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was the same when he made east Asian dishes and got it just as wrong. You’d think he’d have the interest, time and money to practice new dishes with locals before going on tv and try to make his own version.

3 days ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I remember seeing a video of a French chef asked to make poutine, so he cut potatoes in cubes, steamed them, put Béchamel sauce on it, with a pinch of Parmesan cheese powder on top. As a Quebecer, it made me want to strangle him through the screen.

3 days ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I am Brazilian and I want to strangle him too!

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's the one that got me. He was so disrespectful to the local chef. Like, dude, this guy took time out of his day to teach you how to make a local dish and you shit all over it. What the fuck. I don't care if people are like He'S nIcE tO cHiLdReN sOmEtImEs. Dude is an absolute asshole.

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Was this on a 'Merican version of his shows or the U.K?Since I've only seen him act like an asshole on the 'Merican versions of his shows because they push him to act like that.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have no idea because I don't really watch his shows. It was just some clips I saw, and honestly, even if they "push" him to do it, it's still pretty fucking awful on his part.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or just outright edit it that way. He's probably exactly the same when recording for both versions, but the editors for the US version cut it to only show the confrontations because it's more "entertaining." It WAS on Fox, after all.
