The kids are alright

From the thumbnail I thought this was a downed neighborhood basketball hoop. This is so much better.

Let's start a lawyer fund for when they get arrested as "terrorists" by actual demons in human skin.

Np you didn't. 'Twas the wind.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

no you didn't

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You mean you saw a few teenagers out for a walk who were almost hurt by a falling flock camera? I am sure thats what you saw.

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Darn poorly installed camera falling over and almost hurting people.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You didn't see anything.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No you didn't.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Huh, wind must've blown it over.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Move along nothing to see here.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I approve of this outlet for teen angst. I hope destroying flock cameras becomes a new TikTok trend.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No you didn't

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've seen communities where they appear post how flock camera at a given location contain valuable components hoping they get stripped

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I saw it. It was a lightning bolt straight from the heavens.

I should not have to say that but please don't do this shit.
Using high-powered lasers in uncontrollable environments is a guarantee for blinding others with reflections.

That looks like an aluminum tube, which is really surprising because it makes it more expensive while also making it WAY easier to cut down. You get a blade with enough teeth and you can chew through that pretty fast with a portable circular saw. Faster than you could with a sawzall.

Printed on a thermal receipt, brilliant.

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Brilliant - how so?

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Regular printers leave coded traces on their printed sheets, which can be used to track where it was printed, as far as I know, receipt printers do not do this

1 month ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Just had a quick look. Was not aware of the hidden yellow dot encoding for color printers. Does not seem to be an issue with monochrome laser. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/household-printers-tracking-code/

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Older Printer don't do this as well, and B/W less likely as well. When you grop the Paper you will most likely remove it as well as the marking are mostly at the Border were normaly printer doesn't print. As typical: The Felons which knows about it can circumvent it easily and most honest poeples get tracked and blamed as the most likely person which gets framed by it are Whistleblowers.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Plus this is probably a portable Label printer, so you don't need to carry any pre printed stuff with you

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Flock Camera did this to itself.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seen'em? Never heard of them

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Huh? They were at my place at that time, could not have been them.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They told em to get the flock out of Dodge

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Kids doing the radical things cuz their prefrontal cortex hasn't fully developed. Exactly what we need! They aren't afraid of society calling them *radicals*. Yep...ok.

Flocky having two left hands is a little weird

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yowza!

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Something about that image doesn't look right. Like, the felled pole of the camera looks poorly photoshopped.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Yeah now I can't unsee it. There are some soft shadows that look right. Maybe it's some kind of weird lighting, like it's night but there's a lot of environmental lighting?

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

This is definitely at night under street lights.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The pole isn't on the ground. It's hanging off its elevated base, still partially attached. It's floating above/in front of the background.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

^ this

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't see shit

1 month ago | Likes 543 Dislikes 0

it was like that when nobody arrived... nobody touched the sign cos it was already like that.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

See what? Nothing to see here. Must have just been poorly installed and the wind knocked it over.

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I saw everything. That camera pole just fell over all on its own.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Neither did it, hopefully.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

teenagers? Nah dude, it was like 20-30 feral hogs.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I did. It was Elon Musk.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't saw him either.

1 month ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

Never seen anyone refer to the wind as 'him' before, but hey its a brave new world I guess.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was like that since I remember.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The flock flew to Canada years ago, a girlfriend I heard.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Strong winds that day indeed

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Flock cameras are trash.

1 month ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 2

Get that copper first

1 month ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

The cameras are impressive high-tech gizmos. The company is trash.

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Point conceded.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Giizzzzzmooooo GAGA!

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Flock cameras are automated license plate reader (ALPR) systems that capture and analyze images of vehicles, RECORDING EVERYTHING.

1 month ago | Likes 373 Dislikes 0

It was recording everyone, but it couldn't record the teenagers that pushed it over. Ironic.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Instead of mailboxes, just drive around with a baseball bat and smash this shit

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Also both Home Depot and Lowes use them. Literally the only ones in my area. So fuck both big boxes I guess

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Many also have microphones

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And facial recognition with searchable databases thatbare far too easily accessible.

The panopticon is quickly becoming a reality.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Police vehicles are much the same. I got pulled over yesterday when a camera system in a cruiser alerted the officer that I had forgotten to renew my drivers license on my last birthday. Not my license plate, my drivers license.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's something you could easily sue them for you know. Illegal stop. You should contact an attorney, sounds like you had your civil rights violated.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Plus anyone can access them so stalkers could be using them

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oddly enough the ones I see around seem like they'd be better suited to catch ur face coming toward in than the license plate as ur going away from it

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you I was going to ask

1 month ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

So many posts expect a prior understanding of some things that aren't that well known.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Also also, they will be adding audio and drone tracking for you licensed drone pilots

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They also have incredibly lax security and are frequently placed in places that don't have vehicles, like playgrounds. https://youtu.be/vU1-uiUlHTo In a city near me they also placed additional cameras not in the contract, luckily the people very quickly pushed to have them all removed and other nearby towns followed suit.

1 month ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

If enough of us start doing it. A national effort. We will win

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Shouldn't someone put a Flock camera in The White House, where the real crimes are being committed?

1 month ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

YES

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don’t use this site to find and disable ALPR cameras. https://deflock.org

1 month ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

Flock is working with Ring doorbell cameras too, right? I thought I read that somewhere. Or perhaps they just wanted to. But the idea was that they could use Ring camera footage in conjunction with Flock cameras to better map out where people are, where they're going, how much time they're spending there, etc. They're trying to go full Minority Report by using AI to predict people who will commit crimes based on their patterns... Fucking insane. I hope Flock and Ring didn't work out...

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sometimes I'm glad that, technologically speaking, Alaska is about 20 years behind the rest of the US. From the Flock map:

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I definitely don’t want to know this information.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's like 12 in my town. How does one let teenagers know about this so they can handle it?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can you fry these with a really strong laser pointer? Asking for a friend.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I’ve heard that It has to be a powerful laser. I’ve heard that spray paint / chaotic disassembly is more cost effective.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sweet. Looks like i avoid every single one on my way back and forth to work from now on.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

These are reported by people, not companies. There were listed at my home depot but the third wasn't listed, I added it. Every exit direction from home Depot and Lowe's have flock cameras

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hm. I'll add when I see one that's not listed!

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

103,288!!! Wow. How is it going "land of the free"? But I guess the EU is one bad decision away from this too. Just watch. I hate this timeline.

1 month ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

The data it captures can be accessed by any PD or government agency that pays Flock. That company needs to burn in hell.

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Without any kind of need to show a legitimate law enforcement purpose either. It’s just massive government surveillance operated for profit.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive seen yt videos were citizens can access them as well. They are not terribly secure.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

One would say they are terribly unsecured
