ICE is illegitimate AND isn't nice to see them going after people who deserve it more than anyone else because of their actions. Nothing about those thoughts are in conflict. The best case scenario would be for them to be abolished. The second-best case scenario is for their horrible behavior to be targeted at people who enabled it so they can feel the consequences of their own actions. What part of that is "not having principles" in your eyes?

It's the exactly same way you can wish that gun violence would be dealt with in the USA and be fine when it's directed at someone like Charlie Kirk. It's gonna happen, the violence is there and going to go at someone, much better that it be one of the people encouraging it than an innocent victim. Your logic is flawed. "White supremacy is on the rise because you don't have empathy for a noted racist supremacist" is a horrible moral position to take.
