OK, lets assume for a minute that someone isn't outright faking this (either digitally or physically). In all the shots it's quite clearly windy. I suspect that there is some relation to the wind coming over the lip and just the right amount of water setting up a resonant frequency effect in the water. It'll have started slow but built up over a few hours.
Aparently this has been going on for days, so unless the wind has been blowing in same (ish) direction for that long it's probably some other cause. My bet would be earthquakes.
