When I see their facial structure, I can't help but think of Hakuho, greatest sumo wrestler of all time and straight up awesome dude. But their playing and look also reminds me of Beni from Wagakki band, who is absolutely talented and equally beautiful.

Motherfucking Wagakkiband!! Nobody can shred a shamisen like Beni

I always wonder if so many cultures invented their own stringed instruments independently or if there were some original ones that just inspired offshoots all across the world

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They seem to have spread across the globe from the Middle East and India. Ancient India traded with Mesopotamia and Sumeria, which were among the first places to use lyres, and also with Rome, Greece and China. Many later instruments also originated in the ME. Like the oud, which was introduced to medieval Spain by the Arabs and became the lute in Europe.

One theory is that the original stringed instrument is a bow, the sort that shoots arrows and makes a cool sound when strummed.

Hi, i play dombra, which is the exact instrument the girl on the right is playing, and belive me, it's much more gentler than guitar) plus the nails are used to stroke the strings, so you don't feel a thing

Are you certain this is the correct link? ... When you go to the profile of this channel it says "This channel is only for the Turk (Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uyghur, Turkish, Tatar, Uzbek, Turkmen, Nogai, Bashkir, Altai etc.) people.
If you are not a part of any Turkic community, this channel is not for you!" ... As a non-Turk I feel not very welcome.

Probably went viral and got a lot of trolls commenting, but also central asia can be a friendly but very self entitled place. Lived there for a few years.

Or its just an interest group for people of Turkish ancestry that don't want a lot of 'iS sHe ChInEsE?' comments. The videos description has the flag of Kazakhstan; bright blue with a stylized gold eagle.

Yeah. This is her actual insta account: https://www.instagram.com/aididau/
