Its not about making guns illegal, its about making sure people are responsible gun owners around their children (i.e, lock them up) i got my first shotgun when i was 6 years old, but i was always supervised with it and taught the proper safety in using one, and all the guns in the house were locked in the safe which i didnt get the passcode to until i turned 18. I will never blame guns on school shootings, its the parents fault for not being responsible.

If you wanna make a law, make it a law that gun owner parents need to keep their stuff locked up. If you need to sleep next to a gun for protection then you can lock your bedroom door, or have a locking drawer
