Well I know who I'd cast as Cohen the Barbarian now

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

David from Sellsword Arts would have a field day with the reverse grip bit of the routine :-)

I actually have a shitty knock off of that sword. :). Full sized...very clangy if bang the cheap bastard on anything.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Given what he’s had to recover from, he’s doing great.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I vividly remember the first time I saw this movie. I was in awe of his prowess and sword wielding. He really practiced so hard for it and had great coaches.

The second Conan movie was quite different. Pretty good, but the original... still holds fast. And of course, James Earl Jones... was a phenomenal addition.

And the soundtrack was *chef's kiss*

My mate-

One of the greatest movies ever.

He said the sword trainer told him he was too big (muscle mass) to swing the sword. So he went and lost like 30 pounds quickly to train in time for shooting.

Damn, that music still gives me the chills.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He's old enough for a King Conan movie now...

1 week ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Last I heard King Conan is getting made. It was confirmed awhile back, then went into development hell, then I guess maybe back in the spring it was confirmed to be back on again.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same sword?

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yes. he displayed it in his office for the longest time

they should cast him in a Cohen the Barbarian movie. would watch the hell out of that..

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Getting ready for that King Conan movie?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bit slower but it's been a while and he's out of practice.

1 week ago | Likes 171 Dislikes 2

...and just a wee bit older.

1 week ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Honestly, the fact he can do it at all at that age is impressive.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

And, if I recall correctly, his shoulders (possibly also knees?) are kind of a mess, so I imagine there's pain along with doing this.

1 week ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Hell. When he did the movie, he could barely do it as he was body builder big and not fighter big.

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

He lost a lot of muscle training for Conan, on purpose, and he learned to sword fight with Kiyoshi Yamazaki.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

And he's 78 yrs old.

1 week ago | Likes 96 Dislikes 1

Okay I feel there needs to be a "fuckin" in there

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

there IS that too..

1 week ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

And he was 34 in conan.

Conan the Governarian.

1 week ago | Likes 252 Dislikes 1

Might have done a better job

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

He wasn’t half bad. Not great, but not terrible.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

3.5 rating?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Conan the Octogenarian.

1 week ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

He came pretty close to becoming "king by his own hand"

Better than that Keg attempting a pull up... Always

The dude is 79 years old and still buff. Serious dedication.

What an absolute adventure and Incredible life this dude has had hey. He should run for president. I mean. At this point its about money and popularity so who gives a shit. Yes inknow its not legal for non American born to be preaident but shit ya'll saw Demolition Man. Huxley says his massive popularity caused the passage of the 61st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution soooo I mean its possible 🤣

1 week ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 10

That rule is genuinely the only reason he didn't run. Probably for the best, he'd only tarnish his reputation getting muddled up in that.

1 week ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

No, you only need to be a USA cit for 14 years vefore you're eligible

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

You must be a natural-born citizen AND have been resident for at least 14 years. You must meet BOTH requirements.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ah, yeah, had to look it up. Id missed that one

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You would hate his politics, you know?

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah, great guy. Destroyed his family by cheating on his wife.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The Republican party at the time was desperate to get rid of that clause so he'd have the chance to be president. Until it turned out that he wasn't Republican enough for them (working WITH the Democrats for some policies? Sacrilege!!)

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If Arnold became President then that would put us in the Tripping The Rift timeline

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The Demolition Man timeline.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a Californian, please fuck off with this bullshit. He's a fucking Republican and he sowed a LOT of evil in our state.

1 week ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 4

I second. He was an ineffectual governor - he raised fees and taxes (including lower tax brackets) to fix budget deficit and chanted for rain to address the drought; he marred whatever job he didn't do with cronyism now only bested by Trump (I'm sure he inspired the Orange Pedo to do the same) and also admitting as-much to the validity of dozen plus sexual assaults... So yeah - he's perfect for the President of US. (the last part is sarcasm)

1 week ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

He wasn't ineffectual. He successfully did all kinds of nasty shit. One thing that's been recently on our minds is the way he neutered CA's ability to deliver progressives to Congress by spearheading the jungle primary. The first person in the state to recognize what that meant was ... Eric Swalwell, who reverse AOC'd Pete Stark, a progressive in a deep blue seat, with a coalition of 1/3rd Republicans and 1/6th centrist Dems. Talk about a DINO. Evil fruit from the evil tree. GOP = rapist cabal.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The celebrity worship in USA is out of control. After Trump won the "left" (corporate centrist liberal elites) were musing that Oprah should run for president as a democrat. You know, that celebrity lady who kicked off the anti-vax movement, gave us doctor Oz, platformed tons of abusers and grifters and just generally uses her position of influence to amplify and elevate the worst people.

1 week ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

It is insane the projections americans trow on celebrities

1 week ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

How about we let actors be actors and don't try to make actors politicians, because every time we do it ends badly Reagan, Trump - need I say more?

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Career politician's are some of the best actors ever.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean acting is lying very well so you've got me there.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Still a non-zero chance for a Conan 3

1 week ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

Yeah he should be the king now. It would be a cool ending to the story.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Phoenix on the Sword is arguably the first published Conan story and features a mature Conan regaining his throne lost through treachery.

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

they should cast him in a Cohen the Barbarian movie. would watch the hell out of that

King Conan is said to be in production iirc as of this year, im really hoping its true

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I've read multiple articles that said they are making a sequel. And I can't imagine there's any other reason for him to be training with a sword like that if it wasn't the case.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0
