Thank you.

#14 I like the dumb theory of grains domesticating humans. Cause we had to remain stationary in order to grow them so it caused us to develop into villages and changed the course of civilization development.
Mostlydeadpool
humans are lazy. the idea of just having food grow itself (with some help) as opposed to wandering around and foraging every single day is appealing. Sadly, it does lead to some issues when you have more food than you need. you end up with lawyers and bankers and once you get those parasites in your village, you're basically fucked.

There's a theory that rudimentary accidental planting happened from pouches that had holes on them falling as tribes made their circuits around their territories. finding the plants growing where they spilled later is likely how agriculture happened. *my* favorite crackpot theory is that the pouch had yeast in them, so it's possible they were grain soaking in water, first to soften, then later to make rudimentary alcohol, and thus booze predates civilization
Ginoawesomesauce
Drugs and alcohol not only predate civilization, but humanity itself. Plenty of animals consume them for medicine, nutrition, and what one can only describe as either recreation or meditation lol https://youtu.be/yYXoCHLqr4o?si=3Pzxq3bOVvZAKaTL

#22 Oh hey, it's a picture of American mathematician Ted Kaczynski, (better known for other work).
JadeNB1729
Yeah, I really wish people would look past his work on boundary functions and better appreciate his novel proof of Wedderburn's theorem.

There is so much of what he said that rings truer today than when he wrote it. Yeah, he went about things the wrong way to actuate change, but he WAS right to call for it.

#14 either I am overthinking this or not overthinking it enough

Wheat is Whurder
Airos
It's imitating/mocking similar posts by vegans, where they put a picture of a cute cow next to a picture of a cheeseburger to shame people for eating meat by asking "is it worth it?".
Nbiakro
Thanks that seems possible but strangely out of synch with the rest, no?
Airos
Yeah, it doesn't fit the rest of the theme, I think it's just a silly one thrown in for the lols.
