240 at 6 feet? That's only overweight as opposed to obese

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's only 21. He was born on December 56th, 2005.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The rework put him as a millennial now. Which is strange really.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almost old enough to be POTUSst

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If the Simpsons aged in real life.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually one of the peculiarities of Springfield is that they use the "normal" system of recording dates.... sobhis birthday is actually in mid December

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Remember when 240 lbs at 6' tall was comically obese?

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He should be a grandfather now with teen or grown grandkids

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When Homer's weigh is your goal weight ( I'm 6'2)

There was a recent episode where, I think Abe, started a sentence with something like "You know, back in the 30s...or 50s...or whatever makes sense these days.."

You guys have all missed something simple, state IDs have the state listed BIG on them not the city.. He's from Springfield, Springfield. There's a state called Springfield in this universe.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is likely somewhere by a great lake, and based on the zip code the landmass is in the Michigan area. As the state is somehow both land locked and accessible for the Navy.

It looks like he got his license on 7/27/92 but it expires on his birthday. The implication being he drove around on an expired license for two and a half months.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

damn dude.. retire already

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

D’OOOHHH!!

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Simpsons has a rotating timeline. So he's almost always perpetually 38-39.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hair: None? HAIR: NONE? What are those two things on top of his head?!?!?

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

OMG! I'm Homer Simpson!

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Happy birthday!

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn if he's gonna retire, the town won't have that green glow we all love.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's 6' and TWO FORTY and he has a stomach that size? Press X to doubt, holy shit, he needs to be closer to 300.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm 6'1" and 240 and nowhere near as fat as Homer is..

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's probably his old weight. They rarely update that info on your documents.

In 13 years, he'll be as old as Abe was in the first season of the show.

When the Simpsons started in 1989 I was younger than Bart and now I'm about to be older than Homer

3 months ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Older than homer would be if he aged normally? Or older than homer in season 1?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Older than homer in season 1 when he was (he's 39 apparently)

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That makes sense

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Happy 71st birthday!

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Kids BORN in 1989 are going to be older than Homer soon.

Becoming 83? Given family history, no it probably won't.

Ahh, yes... Springfieed, NT. Lovely Smarch weather there. Also, that ZIP code is for Kalamazoo, MI.

3 months ago | Likes 142 Dislikes 1

I always assumed it was in Michigan because in an early episode Bart is trying to save money and he returns a single bottle to the Kwik-E-Mart. Apu asks if he wants to put it towards candy (or something like that, my memory is fuzzy), and Bart responds saying no he will take the dime.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey I got a gal in Kalamazoozoozoozoo

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's because home is actually 17 in this image and this is his fake ID to get into the bars.

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Shouldn't it say "Brian McGee?"

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I totally forgot about that!

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It's a perfectly cromulent ZIP code

3 months ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 1

SPRINGFIELD, NORTHEN TERRITORY. Although we use 4 digital post codes here so...

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

NT = Northwest Territories, Canada 🇨🇦

3 months ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

Homer is clearly American from North Tonneticut

3 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Nettessee

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

North Takota

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Or New Tealand

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if I'm not mistaken, NT would be Nunavut, NWT would be Northwest Territories

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Nunavut is NU. NT would be Northern Territory, in Australia, so somewhere between Darwin and Alice Springs

good to know, thank you!

The joke with the Simpsons is that Springfield is not in a particular state.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

One episode had them standing in 5 states holding hands, something that doesn't exist IRL (closest is 4). The movie had Ned saying that Springfield borders Nevada, Kentucky, Ohio, and Maine, a geographic impossibility (although Ohio does share a border with Kentucky). It's also a supposedly landlocked town, yet in some episodes they clearly have a coastline for an ocean.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Springfield, Oregon, borders Nevada, Springfield, Massachusetts, borders Maine. Springfield Indiana borders both Ohio and Kentucky AND has a shoreline on the Great lakes. Springfield for the Simpsons is a quantum superposition that is locked into whatever place is the most convenient for plot purposes.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's also Springfield Ohio

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and obviously Springfield Illinois, but thats my point. Springfield appears wherever its necessary to ensure it gets its story. But generally, its based off Springfield Oregon.

Here is a pretty thorough breakdown of Springfield's location in the US. Highest contender is actually Illinois. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2DHyimmSCY

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think the joke has always been that Springfield exists in whatever real place that a Springfield actually exists. Like there are something like a dozen different Springfields across the US, and Simpsons takes place in whichever one is most plot convenient at the time. It's likely Ned references different states that border a state that has a Springfield in it.

6’ and 240lbs?? And they still make fat jokes? I’m 6’1” and havent been 240 since high school!

3 months ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 1

Are you me? I mean did i write this last night while drunk?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm 6'2" and weighed 267 at the hospital yesterday.
Mom had surgery this morning and it went well.
She asked me to stop by her favorite Chinese restaurant and I ordered grilled chicken and vegetables.
It was swimming in oil.
I'm trying to be healthy! :)

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was at 6'1" and 240 lbs last year, and I assure you 240 is fat for most people.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's obese, to be specific

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Medically specific, yes.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

6' and 240 sounds like our president's specs in his fitter and trimmer Home Alone 2 days.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Honestly it may have been his HS weight and he never bothered to update it.

3 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

He was pretty think in high school if I'm remembering my Simpsons correctly.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah. Barney was jealous of how much Homer could eat without gaining any weight.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He was pretty normal in high school. The weight came later

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It really depends on your build. My husband is (was, thank you drunk driver shithead) a runner and a fencer and he's at a good weight around 190 at 6'2". We have another friend who's the same height and 220 is good for him.

3 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry. Drunk drivers are the fuckin worst. They need real consequences.

3 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

It was especially awful as the guy was driving on a suspended license (for DUI) in his sister's car with no insurance. I hope he dies a particularly horrible death.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Insanity. Did he even get charged with anything? Me too, hopefully a tree, and lets say there's a fire, and the car is too twisted up to escape from.

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

He did. He spent 6 months in jail. Which is less time than my husband spent in ICU learning how to walk and talk again. Fire is good.
