Oh, cool, thanks, you showed me that. I did not want to see it, but hey, you showed it. Good on you and bad on me, I guess.

Add roux, apply heat low and slow.

Does it hurt the crab to have their compartments pulled open like that?

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Compartments?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's just the tail, usually curled up like that to protect the abdomen.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

today I learned crabs have tails. Thank you.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This may be the explanation of the dead crabs I found on a beach in Klamath, Ca on their backs w/ a tail-like thing hanging down.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Many crabs release their clutch into the sea then die.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Oh yep, that most likely explains it. It really confused me of course all I know about crabs is how to crack open their delicious legs.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Coincidentally, all Steve the Crab King knows is how to crack open delicious humans

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why? Our tasty meat is on the outside.

TIL that crabs have a chamber on their abdomens that is filled with HORROR.

I bet anti-vax wasn't that a great issue back then yet....https://imgur.com/02VPm0Z

But they were so cute!

This kills the crab

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Human women have the same chamber.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

If a human womans belly suddenly split open, and hundreds of fetuses came squirming out, I would be momentarily taken aback too.

Crabdomen.

*baby crabs. Couldn't possibly imagine what influence lead you to call tho--- holy mother of god somebody else deal with that I am gone

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yes, sexually transmitted. I bet it got them from unprotected sex.

Danger chamber

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I always thought it only had eggs!!!

7 years ago | Likes 179 Dislikes 2

The eggs do eventually turn into something lol

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I believe they do lay eggs but they hold onto the clutch. Unrelated but that audio is 100% unneeded.

7 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 1

That's its tail, curled up under its belly. Crabs are basically lobsters with scoliosis.

I was thinking I was gonna see the parasite rather than the crabs

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The parasite is inside the crab, not much to see, but this lady explains it better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQdfBfqHnLs

Summed it up exactly

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You can do it, the imagery is quite mellow compared to the gory one above...

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 2

ha ha. no.

7 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

Have it your way, but you're missing out on some fascinating wild nature stuff.

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

is the one above gory? just looks like a mother holding onto its babies in a pouch, unless the babies eat mom later on...
