honest to god who decided whe need to flirt and cant be open about it? we as a species are terrible at noticing when someone is flirting, however we are good at noticing if someone isnt flirting. Basicaly if you think they arent flirting you are mostlikely correct and when you think they are flirting? the moste likely awnser is they arent and you are misinterpreting things.
And the best part? those odds dont change if you are the person beeing flirted with or a neutral observer.

I personaly belive it is mostlikely a lack of training, very few are good at noticing lies too and yet we lie often. And with flirting it could be similar. You almost never get direct feedback where they? where they not? it is incredibly hard to even train that even if you are beeing flirted with regulary which is in itself rare.

In the context of that song, it was. He didn't just say "hey it's cold, stay the night", he repeated it multiple times, becoming more forceful. Even if she eventually said yes, it wasn't actually consent, cause she was pressured into it.
