True, Facebook is worth than everything above
beaubrent
I never had kids, but I got a dog and she likes me so that's nice.
Splatts
I bet SHE never goes on the internet without permission...
thisismyusernameamidoingitright
Once they get to a certain age they'll resent you no matter what you do.
ranivotz
I've never resented my parents.
SonrisaFlores
Neither did I, we are still very close. I call my mom every day and take my dad to his chemo.
forcefulpuspus
What's with the egg in #1
calvinxalixie
tis just an egg, nothing more.
AndroidDandy
Years later, on the news: "I just wish she'd come home, she's been missing for 6 months. We miss her so much."
Tinkrr
I want to have children in order to conduct a biological experiment on how different upbringings impact their life outcome. D:

"We trained him wrong. As a joke"

Tinkrr
You know, oddly enough, I get that a lot... I'm a scientist people, stop hatin' D:
Fatdicksinmybutt
Please don’t
Tinkrr
But think about how interesting it may be. One going to normal school, one home schooled, one having the option to do anything they want 1/2
Tinkrr
with the best outcome taking over the heritage. 2/2
eggmuffin
It wouldn't be at all interesting. A tiny sample space and no control group makes for worthless results.
Tinkrr
Technically the ignored one is the control group, or the one raised in a normal public school life D:

Having kids is like walking on broken glass. It fucking sucks.
Mycologics
No
Cheomesh
That hasn't been my experience, no.
keyserv
It's not that bad.
1234canIhavealittlemore
Right, walking on broken glass just has a bad rap.
MetalSkeletal
Worst Haiku ever.
WhoToldYouLifeWasFair
Raising children is like slowly being pecked to death. By ducks.

It's fine, most people can only focus on themselves. Kids are a huge sacrifice but being a dad is my greatest reward.
destinoz
Exact opposite for me. I wish I had more than one and earlier in life. Should never have let the naysayers scare me on the subject.
jjm152
The reason why I ended up with kids is because I married a woman much younger than me. I didn't expect it, but I'm really happy about it
jjm152
Sometimes wish I had done it earlier, but then I'd be in jail for fucking a minor. So meh.
PaulyParker
As a Dad.. being a dad is the best thing ever. Sure you have some bad times but ultimately it’s massively rewarding.
theovermynd
From what I can tell it's Stockholm Syndrome on a massive long term scale.
eggmuffin
That's the hormones talking. Are you OK? Are they hurting you? Blink twice for "yes".
MrMarmalade88
Three weeks to due date. I cant wait.
destinoz
Can confirm, am dad. Incredibly rewarding. Also depth and understanding about what it means to be human that you get no where else.
drunkghandi
Why is it rewarding? You are responsible for a being that constantly tries to hurt its self and then takes all of your money when it grows
PlagueDoctorInDaHouse
Tell me more... No really, please tell me more. I'm gonna be a dad come October and I'm absolutely petrified by the idea
Goot612
You'll know pride like tou've never felt it. My kid just jumped on his first goomba in SMB all by himself, and I've never been so proud.
Goot612
Dad of a 4-year-old here. Infancy is intense, but things get better fast. Get through the first 6 months, and support your partner. A lot.
