Not just the men, there are radical right women trying to control your uterus, too.

Most people I know have had gender neutral bathrooms at home for decades why they make a fuss of this is beyond me.

I am also fine with trans men in my bathroom, they can't piss all over the seats like a fucking animal.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you though? A trans-woman can be a wide definition. You're 100% okay with it?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Like the Scottish rapist who claimed to be trans at trial.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't care about bathroom sexism, I'll share, if you'll share the Lysol

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Everyone just sit to do your business and we can all get along just fine.😉

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'd prefer the only people in my bathroom is my dog. She doesn't judge my poop noises.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Dogs aren’t people

Was it not a couple years ago when gay marriage was socially acceptable? But now all of a sudden Trans-people are evil?

I am confused........

i remember when i was a kid before this trans problem. we had a trans person just standing in the bathroom watching the urinals for hours.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It bears mentioning that in The Handmaids Tale novel (can't speak for the show, as I've never seen it), one of the driving forces for the Handmaid caste was wealthy women who didn't want to go through the hassle of pregnancy and childbirth.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I thought it was because there was a world wide epidemic of infertility. 25 years since I read it so I am probably mis-remembering.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm a trans woman, and the only person I want to assault is whoever decided that one-ply was good enough.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't understand this. Men and women use the SAME bathroom ANYWHERE else but public. If you're uncomfortable with someone else being in the same room designated where you shit, use the even smaller rooms in the bigger room. Otherwise, shaddup!

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’ve never seen a trans person in a restroom because I mind my own business.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is why Republicans wanted small government. So it can fit inside the bodies of women and children.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

gotta be really small government to fit into the bullet holes in children

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don’t care either. Just, for the love of god, get off your speaker phone.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I prefer single occupant bathrooms anyway. As long as you leave it clean when you're done, I don't care what's under your clothes

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What about trans women near your uterus?😏

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've accidentally used the wrong restroom plenty of times. I've also walked in on women in the men's room. Just wash your fucking hands

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m not comfortable with republican men in my bathroom. Which is a problem because I am AMAB and identify as a man so I have to deal with a lot of people in my restroom who are overly concerned with what is in my hands when I go to the bathroom. Im not thrilled about a bunch of closeted gay (hey no problem), child molesting (uh… big problem), quasi-Christian dipshits examining people’s genitalia. Am I the asshole?

Why

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I think a lot of republican women also are the problem. I’ve see women who believe in no birth control and regulations

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Unless it happens to them

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*strict regulation

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’ll never understand the bathroom battle, when I am in a public place and need the shitter or pisser I am there to take care of the related biz, wash hands and get out.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I firmly believe the only people who dislike trans are people who are afraid of finding them attractive and thus shattering their fragile sexuality.

3 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 7

Exactly right!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I suspect that's true for a lot of transphobic people. It breaks their narrow world view, and drags homophobia into the discussion. Respectfully, trans is an adjective, not a noun. People can be tall, friendly, trans, athletic, purple, etc. =)

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Yeah, tbh I put "trans" as shorthand for "trans people" just so the sentence structure wasn't as confusing to read with multiple instances of "people." Originally I wrote it out and it looked too wordy to me. Probably should have left it. You are 100% correct.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think there’s a couple groups. There’s them, there’s the ones who somehow believe that trans women exist to act as predators to seduce and assault men (because that’s how they treat women and don’t want the shoe on the other foot, this group normally feels the same about gay men) and the last, saddest group imo are the ones that hate trans people for the simple reason that they’ve been told to. 100% group think. No justification, no rational thought. They just leap into hate to fit it.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I'm straight and I am not afraid to admit I find certain trans folks attractive.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Being attracted to trans folk doesn't make you gay, being attracted to the same gender you are does. Trans men are men. Trans women are women.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

While that makes sense to an educated person, the uneducated/ignorant will only see "penis pretending to be woman" or "vagina pretending to be man." It doesn't help that the uneducated don't want to change their view.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Maybe some, but I think it's more about enforcing gender roles. They want to be able to say that your genitals define what you are allowed to do in life. Letting people born with one set of genitals live as if they have the other set, completely undercuts that control. Letting them actually *change* their genitals, undercuts it even more. They want everyone with a vagina to be forced to be subservient to everyone with a penis. Trans people threaten that.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

What about the women who are not fine with it?

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 15

They'll get over it. Just like people who didn't want POC or gay people in the bathroom

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They usually don't like using public restrooms anyways?

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

While i sypathise truly with cis women that might feel uncofterble with trans pepole we exist. Alot of the issues pepole have with us are based in bad infomation and we should help teach pepole the truth, but in the meantime trans people need access to public spaces.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

They're not fine with someone's urine exiting their body through a penis while in their own stall in the bathroom? Why would they care?

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Logically there is no problem with that. But I think women also view the area inside the bathroom, not just the stalls as a private area. Which is why men are also not allowed inside their, not just the stalls. By your logic, men can use women's bathrooms too right?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

I honestly don't care as long as everyone behaves themselves. However, statistically I'm in more danger from cis men than I am from trans women, so having cis men in the bathroom would make me more worried about putting myself in a vulnerable situation while my literal pants are down.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They need to get over themselves. Trans people are in the bathroom to pee/poo, not anything else. Also, it's a god damn public bathroom. If someone tries to assault you in any way, scream, fight, and run.

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Ok so should men also be allowed into a women's bathroom? Mind you I'm a guy, so this isn't hurting me. I'm all for having a men, women and open bathroom. Or just an open bathroom for all genders.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 14

Yea why not, co-ed bathrooms exist around the world. It's fine

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you're in the women's room and go into a stall, close the door and do your business, I'll give you a weird look (and wonder if I went into the wrong room), but that's it.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

That's what I want. To be honest, if the line for the women room is too long, I waltz into the men's room and use the toilet. Just make a big room with a bunch of stalls. Boom. Done.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Me too. But I also understand that not all women would be comfortable with this, and neither I or anyone else have the right to force them to be ok with it.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

True, but citing that trans women are predators is unacceptable. Or that you need to use the bathroom that conforms with whatever your biological sex is. People who are fully transitioned are going to be yelled at for using the "correct" bathrooms. Or they are going to be forcibly outed, which is dangerous.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Why would they have a problem, realisticly? Like, ok, im a CIS white male, so my privelidge is definitely showing, but I dont give a single fuck whos doing what in the pisser, though I would prefer proper stalls over the troughs most places have in the US

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

I'm a guy so I don't know. I guess the question would be why would women have a problem with men in their bathrooms, because that's how they view trans women.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 11

Some women view them as men, I suppose. But in all methods except genitalia, trans women are women. Do they not want intersex to use their bathrooms (IE: those born with both sets) or those without any functional sex organs? slight snark aside, the instances of trans women on HRT raping somone in a bathroom is... Like. Almost nonexistant isnt it?

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

They can go to the bathroom at home.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

Would you apply that same logic to trans women?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 12

That's what most of the right is already trying to do, anyhow. Can't use women's bathroom cuz penis. Can't use men's bathroom cuz look like a woman. In red states there's a high chance of getting kicked in the face for it either way. Like, I just want to piss, man. IDC what you have in your pants, what do you care what I have in mine if there's a stall between us?

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Like I said in another post, I believe most women see the bathroom as a private space, not just the stall. Hence they can be sensitive about having someone who they perceive as a male in that space. And I can completely empathize with that perspective, especially for older women. While we make this transition, no punishment intended, as a society, why not have an additional open gender bathroom instead of forcing one's opinion on everyone.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Cuz women should stay in the home at all times?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 13

TERFs should be ashamed to be in public, yes.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm a woman, you ass, and not one with brain damage, so that is NOT what I meant. Get your head out of your ass.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don’t care about what gender you are or identify with, flush the damn toilet when your done and wash your damn hands.

3 years ago | Likes 358 Dislikes 2

Yeah, wash your hands. But also, KEEP THE BATHROOM CLEAN! If you spray (or have crap everywhere) clean it…if you can’t, tell someone who can. We all have to use this place, no one thinks you’re a special boy for pooping on the walls or floor.

And close the frekkin lid.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I don’t really care about that as long as there isn’t already a turd in the bowl when I walk into the stall.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What if when I use the toilet I make the sound of a helicopter taking off and landing? And then when I get home I under declare on my taxes? Then instead of going to sleep at a reasonable hour I watch reruns of Charles in Charge and sing the theme song obnoxiously, even though the facility manager has asked me politely not to do this. Still want me sharing a bathroom area with your kids then bucko??

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

A Harvard man and a Yalie are pissing at the urinal. When they're done, the Yalie heads for the sink and the Harvard man heads for the door. "At Yale, they teach us to wash our hands after we piss," says the Yalie. "Well, at Harvard, they teach us not to piss on our hands!" ... I'll be here all week! Try the veal!

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I appreciate the joke, but I now also feel a need to punch a fictional Harvard man in the face.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

20 seconds at least, and with soap. Thank you!

3 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Wow look at Richie McRich here with 20 seconds worth of soap left on their bar

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

20 seconds?! That is 20 too long!

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yup, I saw a man who was accidentally in the ladies bathroom. The fact that he didn't wash his hands is what bothered me.

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

To be fair if I had mistakenly used to ladies and noticed I would probably skedaddle ASAP too.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The ladies**

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In SA bathrooms are for both in many places. It’s mostly fine but don’t recommend the McDs cause it’s gross for everyone.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm a trans man, started using the men's room exclusively after transitioning. When I used the women's room, I NEVER saw someone fail to wash their hands. In the men's room... it's disgustingly common.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Its why I only touch bathroom door handles with the paper towel.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I call people out for it. Especially at work where there's a recurrence of contact. Since I work with a bunch of scientists and engineers, the most common issue is with the software developers not using soap - just rinsing with water. To date, only one of them refused and it was an older, GOP-type during the height of COVID. HR sorted him out by removing his employment. What a hill to die on... He had been there for something like a decade.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My brother and I used to work at Walmart, and the amount of times employees didn't wash their hands was waaaaay too high. Mostly middle aged women and men. Watch who you shake hands with!
