What a fucking asshole. Sorry, i normally don’t write this way, but this is too much. Why isn’t anyone doing anything against those people? They say things like this and still get elected!?

Whats the problem? Everything has gone up, except min wage? So dont give me "everything will go up" bull. Because even WITHOUT a min wage increase, EVERYTHING has GONE UP.

Congress should be a minimum wage job. There are zero technical requirements. It is a popularity contest, not something worth great remuneration.

Just move in with Lindsey Graham make it official, problem solved.

Please! We can’t live on a fixed salary of a measley $174,000/yr. Plus $Million bribes from corporate lobbyists. We also need to do some insider trading to make ends meet!

Cmon man salary for congress is $174k that’s more than enough for multiple residences. You don’t pay for shit. Bar tabs go away. Free dinners. It’s just so ridiculous to stand up there and try to say that dumb shit to people making $25/hr. Clueless.

Can't hear him over the music which doesn't need to be playing.

There's a caption where there should be subtitles.

A blinking circle around the main subject of a clip serves no purpose.

🤦‍♂️

I would have never known who was talking were it not for the *super helpful* animated red circle.

That is the biggest line of bullshit I've ever heard. First, if you want to get paid more, imagine what minimum wagers feel like. Second, There is no shortage of people, qualified or not, that are trying to get into Congress and use policy to enrich themselves. I mean, the president isn't qualified to work in any working position on the planet, much less a country.

$174,000 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salaries_of_members_of_the_United_States_Congress

This does not include the Member's Representational Allowance which is usually 1.8 to 2 million dollars. This is what they are supposed to use to pay their staff, but staff could be their son, daughter, spouse, etc. And that's just the tip of the perks.

Alright. Let's show these greedy cunts the door and vote in folks who would be ecstatic to have a measley $175,000 salary for only working 8-months each year!

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't see why people are getting so upset.
Some people just have a hard time making ends meet.

Maybe it would be for the best if the poor man started looking for a second job.

In fact I'm certain some kindly minded folk could take it in there hearts to help the poor man by sending him some job applications

More concerned with accumulation of wealth than doing the job he was elected to.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He says, "you are going to have less qualified people..." like Lauren Boebert? MTG? Him?

How can they really get much less qualified?

2 months ago | Likes 142 Dislikes 0

Qualified to take corpo bribes and follow the line

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This entire logic is flawed because it presumes that the primary, if not the ONLY reason someone would try for one of these jobs is the money.

NOT to do good work for the people, not to make the government, or society, of our lives any better. All of which are, in fact, THE PRIMARY PURPOSE of one of these jobs.

I am so fucking sick and tired of people in this forsaken country worshipping the fucking dollar as if it's some kind of god that will let you escape death.

It won't and you can't.

Sadly candidates are now picked and groomed to run for office to do the corporate biddings and back Israel. Hence why Lauren Boebert, Candace Owens, Tomi Lahren, and more, were culled from the Israeli run, "Explore Talent" agency:

Now? They have been for damn near a quarter of a century. Even before Citizens United blew everything out into the open political family dynasties, monied interests and other bullshit has been controlling who our candidates get to be, completely subverting the will of the people.

With Trump selecting potential candidates, they can get a lot more unqualified!

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't forget Markwayne Mullins got promoted to the head of homeland security. That dumb fuck was on a rocketship through congress all the way into Trumps cabinet.

Remember, we said the same about Bush II.

So…right twice in a row. Have you called CNN yet?

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I still say that about Dubya. He only showed any intelligence after he left office, after he did all the damage that led us to Trump.

I hope Trump haunts him all his remaining days and beyond.
