Apparently humans cannot truly see yellow. We have no cones that process it, we can tell there is a color there, but we don't know what it is, so our brain just makes up a color for it. And as such some people have adverse effects from yellow. People with high levels of color receptors often favor yellow, which those with low levels tend to dislike it.
Hell yeah, do the things that make you happy! I love that she's fully aware of her hobby, embraces the fuck out of it, and has the enthusiasm to share it. ^_^
If you pluck a yellow dandelion blossom (from a plant that isn't grown in pesticide or other poison, and also make sure there are no bugs) you can just pop it in your mouth and it's a tasty healthful mini-salad.
The rest is all edible too--raw or cooked--but my favorite is cleaning the root and roasting it at 200f for a half hour or so and then grinding it up and making "dandelion coffee" with brown sugar and milk. Good stuff.
I love this beautiful wonderful human, i love when humans are so passionate about something so seemingly mundane, something thats so close to their hearts. Keep going Dandelion Queen
Ive been limited by my living space, but due to life situations on the up, im hoping for a house thats mine soon. Whenever i do get my own home, boy howdy, im going full crazy, all the knickknacks, all the colors. For instance, balloon dogs, god they are cute and nostalgic for me, must have them.
that's why we have Dandy Lions 😁 and no worries, I am a native speaker and there's still tons of words that when I say out loud are apparently not what I'd thought. English is a weird language.

I honestly don't think I have ever been this passionate about anything. Far be it from me to stifle her flare.

Oooh it's pronounced dan-de-lion? I always thought it's dan-dee-lee-on. Not a native speaker though, never heard it spoken before. Nice. Thank you.
Thesaya
Yeah, it's one of those words that always trip you up as a non-native.
pyroshen
If you are curious, Google has good pronunciation guides now. With audio.
Kyuubles
It's from French "dent de lion" (lion's tooth) because of the shape of the leaves. The name in German also reflects this "Löwenzahn"
Adamorweirforcatchingfish
Whereas the French actually call them "pissenlit" (piss in the bed).
MagusoftheMoon
This is why I never mock people who mispronounce things.
Generally means they've only read it.
jojagiraffe
I kinda prefer the dan-dee-lee-on way. It's a little bit cute
warpfactor1
Why dee ?
You dont pronounce loaded like loa-dee-d or tandem bike like tan-dee-m bike
supervillin
dan-DELL-ee-on
