They can't take baths with water. Their fur will mat into extremely dense clumps, making them very cold and giving them bad infections.

Their fur is so thick that if it gets moist.. Mould will form. So the abrasive dust removes and dirt and mites easily

Mites suffocate in their fur but It does remove dirt and grime. Also if very much moisture gets in their fur it won't dry for a long time
