It's not even a regime change war anymore. They've given up on that goal, and it doesn't seem they put a lot a lot of thought into it to begin with. They just started dropping bombs and hoped to figure out the next step as they went along. Now the opposition is dead, big oops, and whoever is left alive of the old regime can take over as far as trump cares. He's lost interest and wants to get back to golfing and selecting drapes for his ballroom.

yeah but does healthcare create jobs in the military-industrial complex? does it drive spending on VERY expensive armaments? does it generate ptsd in veterans? does it accellerate the climate disaster? does it ruin global progress by crippling china? does it affirm the cultural differences and foster a zero-sum mentality between blocs of geopolitical and religious counterparts? Hard to watch NH go down this path. As a graduate of one of their better public schools decades ago its mind-blowing to see how little some kids these days come out with, I train some for work. But growing up through 9/11 and being of Syrian descent was certainly eye opening. I am unfortunately unsurprised by this states continued red tilt.
