One woman is responsible for getting us into space and we never hear about her but.. wow so inspiring Katy Perry 🙄

Those astrocunts were nothing more than passengers in a space dildo

I've never heard anyone say we are supposed to do that.

This is a big smack in the face to the women who overcame a mountain of discrimination to train to be astronauts.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It makes sense if you just look at it with a MAGA POV: it's allowed for women to become pop stars catering to the male gaze, just not to actually take credit for advancing mankind with smarts and bravery as that might threaten someone's ego.

Yeah but was theses inspiring astronauts married with someone who kiss the ring or a billionaire ?

Nobody who flew on Blue Origin is an astronaut, unless they already were or they've since flown on an actual NASA or SpaceX mission. All who ride on Blue Origin are mere passengers and didn't contribute anything to the "mission" or STEM by doing so.

Amanda Ngyuen was trained as an astronaut. She is the only one who deserves it.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

She definitely does deserve the title, for her NASA activities before the Blue Origin flight. IMO she's also more than deserving of a new chance to go up on a proper mission. Heck they sent up John Glenn again when he was 77.

One is a PR move by a private corporation.
The other is a travesty being committed against a government organization by the executive branch.

They're not the same thing.

This actually is a non story

I hate our media. We have actual constitutional crises not being covered well, and common donation practices being made out as nefarious when they aren't.

Well duh… the first ones actually spend money on it, while thenothers get paid. Can’t have women getting paid. They can only spend whatever they made in thenfirst place then not receive money again. Women should not be allowed to have funds, just babies…

/s in case ANYONE was wondering..

Sally Ride FTW.

First Lesbian in Space. Absolute hero.

When I was a kid, I thought the song, 'Mustang Sally' was about her...

It is now.

Absolute best astronaut name

NASA claims they ran out of space.

I mean, you're talking about 2 different groups of people. Republicans hate all women, regardless of job.

My tech brain at first read "bios" as "basic input/output system" and was confused about why they would remove a download...
But, hell, I bet they would be that petty, too.

Extraterrestrial Gynecology: Could Spaceflight Increase the Risk of Developing Cancer in Female Astronauts? An Updated Review

Interesting hypothesis, this is definitely worth a read. Didn't know they were conducting these experiments on the flight until this post actually

They're inspiring because they rode the giant space penis?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Inspired to... eat the rich

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Perry said that she had 'put the ass into astronaut', which is as intelligent as you'd expect from someone who went into space like me paddling at the beach and saying I'd been across the ocean.

I noticed the women went out of their way to sound peppy and not stand up for actual astronauts. The wealthy stick with their own.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not even 10 minutes in “Space,” it takes a few minutes to get to the line and then the rest of the time to get back down, so they on have a few seconds above the line. Still NOT astronauts!es

What is this fucking idiot ranting about? There have been plenty of women in The ISS for long enough to test all variants of womens health products up there.... a 10 minute tourism roller coaster proves absolutely nothing

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She must've done so much testing in all those ten minutes. I'm sure it'll pass the power review process.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

Not even 10 minutes. The whole flight was ~10, but only ~4 minutes of microgravity.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

How much "testing" could be done in the mere 3-4 minutes they were "in space" ?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That really depends on the test tbh. Some tests for some things in science can be happen in seconds. As long as the prep is done before hand. The reviewing and going over of results could the thing that takes the time. And that can be done back on the ground.

Yes, but Katy Perry was on that flight, and so was Bezos' trophy thing and it was a billionaire who won't pay taxes running the show...

1 year ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

+1 for Bezos trophy thing

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, what else is she?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A walking example of what too much botox does to your face?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The Bezos tourist ride has to be one the biggest waste of talent and resources. His company, Blue Origin, took 25 years to launch a single orbital rocket because they were farting around with the billionaire tourist shit.

1 year ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 3

Honestly I don't blame him on the space tourism thing, it makes him money and that's the point of a company. That's why so much scientific research needs to be funded by government such as NASA. Because scientific merit isn't the same thing as profit, but is critical for humanity unlike 5 minute tourist rides

Don’t forget how much of it significantly contributes to the destruction of Earth’s ozone layer

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Don't worry, Musk will bring back CFCs to make commercial space seem better by comparison and to turn Earth into Mars 2.0

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It does fly with NASA experimental payloads from time to time, though. Like on flights 10, 11, 12, 13, 17 and 29, not including purely commercial experimental payload flights.

You can get a few minutes of zero g with an airplane a lot cheaper and safer.
