Oh Mr Vader stop we're too tired of winning

At least darth vader was competent. I'd much rather have him in charge. Honestly he is also less evil.

I'm giving you two weeks to find out what happened to all the younglings.

He knows what happened to the younglings he was in the Hutt files!

That's a rebel hoax. There is no evidence that Lord Vader was ever at Hutt's palace. In fact he kicked that sleazebag off the death star many times

Vader is 100 times more competent than the rotten pumpkin, though.

So, Captain Piett comes up to me and he says "sir," he says, "sir." His first name is Firmus, did you know that? Not a lot of people know that. But he says, "sir, the millenium falcon is going into an astroid field." He says, tears streaming down his face, "its dangerous." Danger, danger, what a beautiful word, like grocery. Then he says, "You're the bravest person i know. I'm scared of the asteroids, just like mon HUSSEIN! mothma, but you aren't, you're not scared of anything, sir."

And yet, they had to trust a moisture farmer to take it out instead of doing this:

The best part of all of those movies.

If they had just had Leia hold the ship in realspace using the force or something, this would've been fine, but no, she gets to die for no good reason and these scene gets to exist with no explanation.

I think a relativistic matter collision would be a bit more spectacular. Cool shot though.

Can confirm. We tested it out at the back 40. I will not be answering questions.

What a cool shot

It was monumentally stupid

Extremely. But still visually awesome.

Agreed, by doing this, they've basically invalidated all space based warfare. There's no need for ship battles when all you need to do is fit a hyperspace drive on an asteroid and point it at what you want destroyed. It was so overpowered that the very next movie had to say it was "1 in a million odds" that it worked, which retroactively makes Holdo even worse considering she said "You have bet the survival of the Resistance on bad odds and put us all at risk!?" I quite dislike those movies.

Yeah, extreme mixed feelings about the scene. It's a top notch visual, but it basically invalidates half the movies. Why even build a Death Star if that's an option? Can it seriously be easier to build a mobile superlaser than it is to build a computer that can reliably do the calculations for a fatal hyperspace jump?

I feel bad for everyone who takes this cinemasins YouTube critic view that you can't do a cool set piece because of some dumb reason. You watch literally the best sequel film and hate it over something so trivial

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

it's stupid because it's a fundamental self consistency break in the universe world building established over 7 movies and untold stories .. it's flashy noise and lights for wow factor over any sensible story telling...

it completely breaks established canon which is why it's stupid

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say episode 3 is your favorite movie in the series
