That would be valid if the issues people had were it printing shit quality but the issues people have are it refusing to print at all for random nonsense reasons, most of which can be bypassed and then it prints with zero issues and no hardware changes.

Then again, I had a brother once and that thing was an asssssshole. The cartridges were CLEAR. I could see how full they were. Sumbitch "low on cyan"ned my ass and similar constantly,even for B+w prints. Lying ass dickhead printer.

Looks like the brother laser is ~$140 which isn't bad for a decade of inflation, especially as it really is a workhorse. Also you have to replace toner way less frequently than ink cartridges.
