The most benign form of vandalism.

If these were the soccer fans from a more “brown” country ICE would be mobilizing and a state of national emergency would be declared.

it's not a good night unless you get a traffic cone

I for one welcome our new Scottish overlords.

If it wasn't all in fun, there would be a Dropkick Murphys song about it.

My buddy took me on a “pub crawl” in Glasgow for his 21st birthday drinking a pint for each year. This is where I learned walking, talking and projectile vomiting can all be done in quick succession and then carry on at Crème de la crème for some curry like nothing happened. 👀🍻

Where are they find all of these clean looking cones?

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Boston born and bred here. The Scottish invasion has been a joy to watch. Thanks to them all for providing the lightheartedness all of Americans need in this moment. Much love!

I don't see the most iconic Boston statue in this clip. I sure hope Bobby Orr has a cone on his head while flying through the air.

I feel like this is a term of endearment.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Party hats for the statues to be included in the revelry. As long as they’re not vandalized (spray paint, damages) I say this should be the start of a tradition in Boston

The Scots are such big beer drinkers because weed is illegal there. But everywhere weed is legal, the next generation drinks way less beer than before, because the young people switch to edibles and smoking weed, since its less harsh on your body and generally cheaper than a night out at the bars.

Boston getting some culture

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That and all the beer is gone from Boston.

That's some dedication right there lads

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish they traveled the nation.

Why Australia music?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was in Salem yesterday and there was a cone on a statue near where I saw a bunch of Scottish dudes. I suppose that might be what happened?

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

While I can't guarantee it, almost certainly.

🎶 It's beginning to look a lot like Glasgow 🎶

As a Bostonian, thank you for this, Scots

seconded!

I'm disappointed they haven't gotten the ducks or Bobby Orr yet, or at least they weren't included in this.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

They got the ducks. Haven't seen Orr yet.

*Canada has a New Scotland

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ALL of its beer.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I once gave a Scottish lassie beers for cone.

Its* beer

The way I was able to remember it is the possessive pronouns “his” and “hers” do not have an apostrophe. The reason it is often written wrong is that possessive nouns do have an apostrophe. (Boston’s, Steve’s, the dog’s)

Yeah I know all of this.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Has Boston run out of beer yet?

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It literally, actually did, yes.

+1 for cultural exchange

Wait until the gop sends in ice to "protect our culture"

1 month ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

If ICE goes in for any reason it will be because the tartan army has a chant calling cheetoh a pedophile. It’s really catchy and pretty powerful when thousands of people chant it.

Agains inebriated scotsmen?

1 month ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Oh god pls yes send ICE in against piss drunk Glaswegian football hooligans!

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Omg yes finally something to believe in, make it so…

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I’d be more excited but I just worry for them even being here.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

They are having a blast in Boston. Seriously. And the whole city is loving them back.

Red Sox organist reached out on social media. "What music should I play for the Scots who attend a ballgame?" They obliged, and have been turning up to 11 for the singalong. (Per NPR today)

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Confirmed, was at the Tuesday Sox game. There were TONS of Scots there and both the organist and the music-picker were into it. They kept playing snippets of the Proclaimers and each time the Scots roared. I think they had almost no idea what was going on with the game but they were good sports about it. When "Yankees Suck" chants started (common at Fenway even when the Yankees aren't there) the Scots around us were like "FUCK THE YANKESS! ... (are we doing it right?)"

This is fun and I love it ... but did this really get "progressively more chaotic?"

1 month ago | Likes 196 Dislikes 0

catchy headlines are worth extra internet points. Having the host talk loud and frantic waving of hands is also worth gold stars.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Id say yhe one on the extremely tall monument was an escalation in chaos.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably due to the increasing numbers at each location, and them remaining until daylight.

1 month ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

I'm in for mindless hooliganism

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah this is mindful-hooliganism. No damage and everyone's having a good time if they're not boring. Excellent.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

With a lead like that I half expected there to be a statue near the end just covered in dozens of cones. This wasn't really 'more chaotic'.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guess a linear progression with a slope of 0 is still a kind of progression?
