I'll add that the meaning re ice-caps, is that climate change is real, stop trying to make it worse.

I listened to his speech, the message wasnt "hidden" it was clear to anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wonder wasn't that speech written by the UK government i.e. not himself?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be roasted in the most elegant & eloquent way by a True Monarch is the best burn.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

None of it was hidden, this is expensive

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pearls before swine.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah hidden messages don't work over here. I appreciate the sentiment, though

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Luckily it's not hidden at all.

Trump is 50% dementia, 50% so narcissistic that I'll bet nothing from the speech went into his head. Vance probably asked if King Charles had thanked Trump though.

I am going to assume the "hidden burns" are going to be wasted doubt the Americans this is targeted at can even understand half the words he used way to fancy.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sad thing is Republicunts literally hear what they want to hear. I can guarantee they heard "America is awesome, you guys did the right thing going after Iran-I wish we had done that" and "The rest of the world is jealous."

Well done!

His comment about serving in the Royal Navy as did his father, grandfather, etc was also a reminder that President Bone Spurs did not serve and neither has, nor will, any of his putrid spawn.

Trump‘s grandfather emigrated to the US to dodge military service in Germany. It‘s a family trait.

What is this? Interpretation of British English to American English?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, golly! Not quite!

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He mentioned his great-uncle Lord Mountbatten. A paedophile.

The Trump admin does not really think of themselves as the same entity that received help in 2001, so they do not care about any perceived debt or international loyalty. They want to rule the country but do not really understand the concept, let alone why a country would need allies in other countries.

If I recall correctly, the king lives in Windsor castle. I don't remember what Buckingham Palace is used for.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#2 he's just listing battleships as family members

4 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Nice.

Correct.

Fuck Trump and MAGAs

Fuck the king anyway.

Queen's Gambit.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There was no hidden message, he said it openly. He just used big words that lost 90% of the crowd

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow so brave! So smart! This will surely have an effect on anything at all!

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#2 What he meant is "you and your ancestors are cowards".

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

the dems gave some standing ovations for pointing out our deficits, and the GOP was forced to stand and clap!

- co-equal branches of government - checks and balances

- supporting ukraine and democracy

Not a single American politician understood what he was trying to say. Do the English not understand how unbelievably stupid Americans are, let alone boomers?!?

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

I'm an American. My 15 year history here on imgur is here for you to peruse. I think I'm pretty informed on geo political topics. I'm 51. I was SO against Regan as a kid, when all this bullshit started. Don't give Americans a blanket assessment. I'm sure I could do the same thing about your country at a whim. What sucks is what is going on in the USA affects me way more than someone abroad, yet Im just lumped in with the problem.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately for you your fellow citizens have tarred your country with a very big "We're stupid!" brush, you'll never overcome it as a blanket assessment, supported by strong evidence.

NO KINGS! Read William Dalrymple's Historical novel "The Last Mughal". British Royalty and aristocracy via British diplomacy, espionage have been leaching off, destroying stronger Empires for 500 years. Colonialism. Why would a US President, Congress celebrate, entertain a corrupt King, royals, from the very country we gained freedom from 250 years before? Of course, the Orange Man who would be king! https://bellacaledonia.org.uk/2026/02/20/triple-failure-protects-the-windsors/

America didn't separate due to a hatred of the royal family. It separated because parliament refused to allow American colonists to have a seat with them to represent the interests of the colonies, yet they were paying taxes to the British government.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who said anything about hate? Royalty is fundamentally unjust, a violation of inalienable human rights. Fundamentally oppressive, illiberal, exploitative. Just like modern US oligarchy/plutocracy and Right wing Intel/covert takeover /gallery/trump-vance-announce-new-war-on-left-what-will-be-like-what-has-already-been-0W9avpc<">-0W9avpc">https://imgur.com/gallery/trump-vance-announce-new-war-on-left-what-will-be-like-what-has-already-been-0W9avpc</a> https://www.hks.harvard.edu/faculty-research/policycast/oligarchy-open-what-happens-now-us-forced-confront-its-plutocracy 1

Americans need to be shown who the killer is at the start of a who done it movie they won't be able to follow a secret message

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's not doing so bad, is he?

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3rd grade social studies lesson that so many of our electorate seem to have forgotten, and given to the US by a literal king

4 months ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 0

Not just any king. THE FUCKING KING OF ENGLAND

4 months ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

He's not *just* the king of England. Aus/NZ/Canada ...and a couple of others. Sizeable English speaking economic bloc

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah, he's technically my king too, eh?

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yup. King of smelly pants

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well I didn't vote for him.

Bloody peasant!

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh! Oh, what a giveaway, did you hear that?!

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I listened to a bit of the speech. I assumed Trump cringed when King Charles said something about 'checks and balances on those in power'.

4 months ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

I doubt the speech even registered. Trump has only ever been interested in Trump.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"The US Supreme Court Historical Society has calculated that Magna Carta is cited in at least 160 Supreme Court cases since 1789, not least as the foundation of the principle that executive power is subject to checks and balances."

You assumed he was listening

4 months ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

Or even if he was listening, that he understood all those high falutin' words ol' King Charles was using; you know the ones: the ones required for a vocabulary higher than 3rd grader's.

4 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I'm sure that in the next few days, someone on FOX will explain just how much this speech was an attack on how Trump governs... by Sunday, Trump will have a rant on his megaphone-forum about how he was stabbed in the back.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Trump was probably sleeping.

4 months ago | Likes 226 Dislikes 1

He didn't make any money so he didn't GAF.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This address was not targeted at Trump. This kind of speech would not sway Trump, and Charles and his advisers know this.

This was to encourage Congress to act, in the hopes that not too many of them are asleep in their chairs or complicit in the foolishness of this administration.

And it was to send a message to the rest of the world, who listened, that the UK isn’t blind.

4 months ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Don't be silly. He was either committing a crime or involved in planning a crime.

4 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Matters not, he'd not understand the subtitles and implied meaning.

4 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

*subtleties, amd exactly what I came here to say

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And if he were awake I’d be damned if he picked up any of this

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sadly Trump didn't fall asleep this time but I'm confident that his was going inside his head.

Date of image? Context?

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

There are several of these ”Trump sleeping” images from different dates and occasions. This one is from his hush-money criminal trial in 2024.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Should have asked was this today. No matter, I'll see myself out.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ew. What a truly disgusting image.
