Because there's a movement of people who think it's cool to make everything either sad or abusive. We cant just enjoy things anymore, we must be outraged at all times
I mean, the animal abuse is definitely not good, if that's what you're talking about. I don't think people should be enjoying it, and I definitely don't want those monetizing it to be successful.
The problem is people are now calling the most benign things abusive. I have no problem calling real abuse out, but mild teasing, confusing a pet for a cute video, and some mild pestering isnt abuse. People are going overboard in their quest to be morally superior online
To be fair, the closest large city that people who don't live in the state might recognize the name of to Bellingham Bay is Vancouver, it's only about an hour away.

However, since we frequently combine Latin and Greek words in English ("homosexual"), correct word use depends on /common/ word use, and it is quite common to use "octopi", "octopi" is /also/ a correct plural of "octopus". And, to motivate people not to constantly correct this, I will use the new plural "octopussies" for an additional month every time I see someone doing so, and none of you can stop me! I sure hope it doesn't catch on. :)
