Finally completed, the second of three companies fully painted, you can see the first fully painted company here, https://imgur.com/gallery/1IoOBbL. This company took around a year or so of collecting and painting up.

The Company composition is completely composed of Primaris marines. The company includes, Captain, Librarian, Chaplain, Company Ancient, Apothecary, 4 Lieutenants, 6 Squads of Intercessors, 2 Squads of Hellblasters, 2 Squads of Aggressors, 2 Squads of Inceptors, and 2 Redemptor Dreadnoughts.

Another view of the company, I'm currently finished up the supreme command elements of the army including the new Primaris Calgar and his honor guard. After those models are finished, I'll be working on the First Company which is all Horus Heresy minis.

Detail is great! The ones standing in mud have dirty boots. The ones flying or on rocks have clean boots. I have a boot fetish now.

Damn mad respect. I tried painting a few miniatures before and it takes hours sometimes to paint one completely with the priming (1/2)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and the blending of colors to paint the chapter I wanted. Let alone the gluing and shaping of tedious parts. (2/2)

Imagine a seven foot tall armored death machine with a sword and a pistol the size of your torso charging you at sixty miles per hour.

STEEL RAIN BROTHER!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How much did this all cost? I used to play warhammer with LEGO

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Well, a single squad of Intercessors is $60 USD, so the 6 squads are $360 pre-tax. Redemptors are... 60? It adds up real fast.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not sure, much of this was collected over 2 nearly two years and as I run a club in Chicago I get stuff free and heavily discounted.

Awesome hobby. Been watching Critical Role and really appreciate the Minis

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't think any Chapter has a full company of Primaris yet, not 100% sure, but that hot damn that's fuckin impressive. Bravo, sir, bravo.

7 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 2

There're Primaris-exclusive Chapters (Ultima Founding), so not impossible, but I am glad that older Chapters have a vague mix of both types.

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

This I did know. I also know some Chapters are super resistant to having any Primaris at all, Salamanders being an example.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure that Papa Smurf hoarded some for a Primaris Company in order to maintain the status of poster boys :V

Pretty sure the Blood Angels have at least a companies worth, at least after reading Devastation of Baal.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm starting a BA army now, I'll have to read this. I've always loved the 40k lore and history. Be nice to include that.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

In that case be sure to read "Dante" before devastation its another great BA book

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Duly noted. Thank you.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Space Wolves got pretty chewed up too so they have a shit ton of Primaris reinforcements

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

didn't the imperial fists as well?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah. They lost most of the 3rd Company on Cadia, as well as some 1st Company veterans.

Huzzah for the new Contrast paints!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Tell my more. I have to many tyranids.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

https://youtu.be/E27sfjY3-0w Perfect for hordes! And lives up to the marketing, I'm told.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm thinking about starting some Orks just to try out the new Contrast paints. It'll be awesome if it actually works!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've been hearing great things from people who went to the con and tried them! Supposedly they mostly live up to the hype!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't. Even with that kind of 'speed painting', Orks are extremely expensive and use HUGE model counts.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm mostly looking for something to break up the monotony of painting my current backlog.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone who plays orks.. They're the opposite of a break from monotony. But at the end of the day, you do you.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dan Abnett made them cool in the Horus Heresy. Know No Fear is a great read.

Space Marine was pretty awesome, too. A shame we never got a sequel or more games like it.
