This isn't *quite* right. The radius isn't as anchored in the human body as it is in a wired skeleton. In situ it rolls up over the ulna.

The ulna articulates with the humerus, the radius is attached to the ulna itself by a ring-shaped ligament called the annular ligament.

But with a wired skeleton the radius also gets rigidly attached to the humerus so you get this slightly distorted motion.
