Way back in 2017, when his inauguration was attracting small crowds, and Sean Spicer had to get out to the press pool and assert it was the "largest ever," it was all just so stupid, in part because Trump could *never* have as large an inauguration as Obama. Not just because he's so unpopular, but because DC, and the surrounding metro, are VERY blue, and for us to show up, we only have to step outside our front door. Trump voters have to book hotels and travel. They're never going to compare.
