I would love so much to give even one of these a new home and loving restoration.

My abandoned Beauty thats getting restored https://imgur.com/fT9vWj9

8 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 5

Got an idea how much it would cost to restore a car in that condition?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

over time you will spend a least $20,000 or more

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Have I seen this on the road?.... What state you in?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not yet. but i have seen similar out there. I am in south dakota

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ah. New Jersey here

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get that rust taken care of man!! Gonna be beautiful when done

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m glad most of it is surface rust

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It’s always some old guy “not for sale!” and then they just let it rot.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

"I'm gonna restore it"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A classmate was killed when a car landed on him. His dad took his son's car, locked it in a shed. Refused to sell it because he didn't 1/

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2/ want another father to endure the loss he did. The family sold the car after the dad died. The son was driving another car when he died.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know right?? It’s like they enjoy watching people get upset that a cars is going to waste.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sometimes grief of loss is involved. Many went to Vietnam and didn't return to get their vehicle. Saw this too often in my youth.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 up from the bottom, the 964 and supra were in the Texas floods. A guy had an E36 and jacked it onto bricks in his garage and saved it.

8 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 1

When I jack it onto bricks I don’t save it.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

But that one car covered in plastic is ok?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah buddy, it's gonna be just fine

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Is that the Red Barchetta I heard about?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My uncle has a country place that no-one knows about

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Would you be will to dm me about this country place? I restore cars and am always looking for parts.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't Rush him...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stingray makes me sad

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#3 is an extremely rare 1958 Edsel Pacer convertible, one of 1,876 made that year.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's not rare, I know a guy who owns a Saab Catherina, one of 2 made... The other one is in the SAAB museum

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Compared to that, no. But in the grand scheme of collector cars, 1,876 units is considered a low number.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1876 a year, was it?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1/3 For 1958, Edsel produced 1,876 Pacer convertibles and 930 Citation convertibles for a total of 2,806 convertible for the model year.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/3 For 1959, the only Edsel convertible available was produced on the Corsair platform only, and 1,343 were made.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm going to need the location of each photo

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This 930 Porsche by Almeras is a rarity... 441 bhp in 1984!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish these had contact info! So many projects for me to get half finished.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was just scrolling down waiting to see my ex's pic

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is pretty much torture to car people.

8 years ago | Likes 168 Dislikes 0

If i had anyone of these cars it would be treated like a queen. Not lost and forgotten

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can confirm.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes. Yes it is.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My soul hurts seeing this

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Jackpot for those holding it and keep the petina though.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Patina and letting something valuable rot into the ground because you can't afford to restore it are 2 totally different things!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep. Although it's one thing to see cars in a building, it's entirely different when you see them rusting away outdoors. A real shame.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There' a ma70 supra rusting on someones front yard in my hometown. I wish i would be able to save that car. But that's impossible currently.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Grab some pictures next time your passing! ????

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe. Allthough that car is almost on other side of the town so i always pass it by bus or by car.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

right where I live there's a lot of omni glh's and other compact delights I would love to restore.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

God i loved this movie as a kid, pretty fucking dark.

How does one just abandon a Superbird?

8 years ago | Likes 150 Dislikes 4

Death. by snu snu

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I was young there was a daytona in a car lot for Years. No one wanted them at all.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like this probably.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was wondering that. Should be illegal

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The '70s weren't kind. '60s muscle cars, of any kind, were essentially worthless. Not old enough to be collectable; gas prices killed 'em.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Oil crisis of the late 70s.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Most cases is owner stored it and died. either relatives ddnt bother checking or the new owners ddnt care either

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That should be a crime.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dump it at during a bootlegger’s run and forget where in the woods you left it.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

easy: they say I am going to do something with it some day!( they almost never do)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Blow the engine or transmission. Fry the electrics. Crack the frame. Lots of ways to make it too expensive to fix, but doesn't look too bad.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All reparable or replaceable for resto builds. Unfortunately few have that kind of capital or interest these days.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have all the interest. Just poor AF

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The superbird/Daytona’s weren’t very popular when they came out

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

About as easily and some of those MB 300SL gullwings. They are $2.5mil each. When full restored.

8 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

srsly...that one hurts

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And a barn full of corvettes. Makes me sad. That MB looked gorgeous

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Or one of those Daytonas, those go for a lot more than that. Crazy

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

WHO ABANDONS A FERRARI DINO???

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Them...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i used to work at a large airport in california-a lot of cars were owned by rich foreign students, they abandoned their cars at the 2/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

airport when they went home. Might have been a 3 year old BMW or Mercedes, people would just leave them there.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There was a fabulous Dino on Jay Leno’s garage, yesterday https://youtu.be/qnt0DNqJYvM

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That supra and escort.. I'm sad

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

same. two great cars. Really a shame.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're not even that old, and they appear to have been abandoned a long time ago, why???

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

C'Mon man I can only get so hard. +1

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only debatable one is the Escort XR3i.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Search for abandoned cars in dubai airport.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Search the bodies of modern-day slave workers buried in the foundation of other Dubai buildings.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jay Leno is fapping to this post

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've seen enough tv to know someone got murdered in that buried one

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was actually insurance fraud

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why would you abandon those???? Especially all those jeeps!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Surplus Jeeps has always been plenty, I want a few to restore

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is that in #11? I don’t recognize that rear. I’m assuming something not sold in the us

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

According to this - https://www.carthrottle.com/post/n4v32oo/ - it's a Marcos LM series: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcos_Engineering

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Marcos Mantis

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Interesting, thanks

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The second from the last is probably the most valuable.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh no, not by a long shot. The Ferrari next to it, (car in the last pic), sold for $2.5 million. The Cobra brought just over $1 million.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Clearly, I was Miss Taken

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nope; that'd be the 300SLs...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Miuras should be just slightly more valuable no?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

An 300SL would be worth double the Miura...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe I'm mistaken. Is that a red Barchetta or a Siata 208s?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rear arch is wrong for a Siata 208s? It's not flared like that...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If the Mercedes were the stainless steel one, there would be no question.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also a Siata 208s doesn't have the grille between the bumper and the indicator?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nvm. It's probably a cobra replicar
