I never noticed he had a moustache like hitler before

Look up what Marlon Brando has to say about this guy. Chaplin treated his wife and kids like crap. This guy was a real asshole.

Please stop posting videos with out sound!!!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Love this

7 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

I hate GIFs that don't have sound.

That kid is probably dead right now

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Baby pointed at the piece that dropped, like, hey, go get that.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I heard, he was really good in handling kids...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hitler and Charlie Chaplin were once the same person but then they broke the tiger talisman from Jackie Chan adventures

Guy was a genius - iirc he turned up to his first ever screen test in character and acted improv for the director and crew 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This reminds me so much of Joaquin's joker

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That kid.... Albert Einstein

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dude had 7 wives

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeh, but... not all at the same time...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Charlie Chaplin is fantastic ?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Brilliant!!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is he spreading on the bread?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mustard

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see a lot of Charlie Chaplin in Steve Martin.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I used to do that to my sister when she was little ;d

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He was probably married to her 15 years later

Anyone know which movie this is?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Circus

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fun fact. Charlie Chaplin once came in third in a Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Stop pestering my kid."

"Oh..b-but i wasnt..."

*laughs uncontrollably*

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yep, that’s Charlie Chaplin

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Side note: he was also a misogynist piece of crap and a rapist.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

He also liked them your apparently

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why doesn’t this vid have sound?!

7 years ago | Likes 148 Dislikes 10

Well cause the movie itself doesn't

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Pre-Talkie GIF

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

LOL

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

GIFs didn't have sound back in those times - and the bits and bytes were stored as holes and plateaus on a wax-cylinder or later fancy vinyl

7 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 0

Two people in this comment section honestly didn't get the joke... Beautiful

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

And no color?!?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There was no color until dorothy went over the rainbow

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are mimes

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its called movie for a reason, they move without sound. Else it would be called soundie-movie?

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Charlie Chaplin is an actor from the silent era of film.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 8

I can only imagine how annoying babies, loud eaters, and people with cell phones were back then.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We're...old, aren't we

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I think this was a joke...

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I figured it was, but answered anyways. Just wanted to make sure anyone who legitimately doesn't know can see the actual answer.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Sound wasn't invented until 1931 when a nun accidentally sat on a cactus.

7 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Ah, yes, it was Ingrid Sound if I remember correctly. She had a vast and expansive succulent garden, ranging the entire span on the church

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

yard. It was on the 26th of April, 1931, that she had misplaced and, for her unfortunate backside, that she found herself sitting on her

many, and created a new age. Since then we've only just barely skimmed the surface of what noises can be made and how we can further the

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ahhh yes. Paige's great grandmother. True pioneer

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

So the nun was her great grandmother? I don’t think she was very good at her job.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nonsense my boy, she did perfect.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The man was a genius who was way ahead of his time. Look at this brilliant special effect.

7 years ago | Likes 947 Dislikes 9

I wanna know why the people in that scene in Joker laughed their asses off to that, it’s not that funny.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Brilliant

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What I seriously thought that was real wow my mind is blown

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Credit where its due though, he wasn't the one to come up with that particular trick. It's called a nodal pan and didn't originate here.

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

The trick is to pan from just the right axis on the camera. Too far forwards or backwards and it'll parallax slightly. Absolute genius!

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Meanwhile Buster Keaton like just strap me to the train before I loose my buzz.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He was also a pedderass. I guess we shouldn't talk about that though.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tell me.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Watch the biopic with Robert Downey Jr.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They really did so much with so little

title of my sex tape

7 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn’t he also say TVs would never take off?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably. I know Walt Disney said that early in his career.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was pretty cool considering how long ago it was

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All glory to practical effects!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wonder how they did the scene with the baby.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Taped a bunch of ferrets together. Babies don’t look like babies on film

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Cgi baby

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And now we have cgi, so who needs to be creative

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Lots of people. Practical effects are often vastly cheaper than CGI.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, just push button receive cgi

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is it for real ? The end looks unreal

7 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 6

Its a digital recreation of what was done based on photos of the set at the time they originally filmed that sequence.

Thanks

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

They still did similar mattepaintings in Star Wars, Blade Runner and Aliens

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Okay but fair nuff I know and have babysat kids who would have absolutely loved this and wanted to feed you even more goodies.

7 years ago | Likes 258 Dislikes 2

My kid loves to give food to our dog

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can confirm, I helped my roomate babysit for one of her coworkers the other day, I got three dino nuggets shoved in my mouth at once

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Seriously i adore that young children see a mouth and think "it's hungry". I love this sketch lol.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Best part of working as a cub scout camp counselor. Kids wanted to make me S'mores for days. I ate like a campfire king.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...I still would love to feed you more goods. It is why I made brownies for work today. I love feeding people.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

See, that's why I like feeding my coworkers 'brownies' on 'random drug test weeks'...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think in love language terms, feeding others falls right in between 'acts of service' and 'gift giving'. it's universal, makes me happy :)

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Have you ever seen the movie "Feed"?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right! Little-ones like feeding. That's why you find waffles in vcr's, milk in drawers, chocolate in dogs and baked beans in saxophones...

7 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 0

#beanswherethereshouldntbebeans

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When we first taught our daughter how to brush her teeth she decided the vcr also needed to brush its teeth. RIP electronics

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

These are oddly specific.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

All "as seen on TV"!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It makes sense - we hand fed them for the first few years so doesn’t everyone feed each other?

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Indeed!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Here comes the air-plane"

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

awww. you said vcr.

7 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

Not only did I do that, I also didn't 'get' your comment... am I showing too much of my age?

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Its the "me gusta" face, its an old meme but it checks out. Basically it says i like that

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I got that... it's the "awww" that makes me think there's something I don't get!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

When I was a kid our VCR broke and my dad had to take it to be repaired. Apparently I put a bunch of Oreo's in it. Whoops.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

My only clear memory of a VCR is mine ruining my original copy of Mulan. >:C But I got a DVD copy later, so it's all good.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Your VCR ruining your Mulan tape builds character. It wanted to make a man out of you.
