There used to be a terrible ghost hunting show called Paranormal Home Inspectors that kind of did this. They had a segment where they'd call in a home inspector to check out all the spooky happenings and like all of them were caused by stuff like loose wires, worn switches, or improperly hung doors.

I would be that skeptic. Get the call, groan "Not again" and put my book down for the 5th time this visit. They're sure trying hard to convince me this creepy old cabin is haunted, but I'm just not buying it. Every time I come in they're all in compromising positions but no real ghosts to speak of. Roll my eyes, turn the lights back off, and go back to reading my book until the wimps start complaining on the radio again. Man if the pay wasn't so good I'd have taken that job at walmart.

My ex has stories of ghosts and hauntings that she experienced, and even my father (who I never would imagine) had had a ghost experience. I have seen all of these. It's really pretty funny. Ryan sit in a "haunted basement" freaking out for 15 mins. Then Shame goes down there saying "okay ghosts here I am come get me" the whole time completely calm.

Reminds me of a moment in Achievement Hunter's "Haunter" series. They go to an old mill and something happens (I won't spoil it) and the entire crew wants to bail. They talk about it in the wrap up episode for that season. Everyone on the crew wanted to go but Geof was like "THIS IS WHAT WE'RE HERE FOR!" For season 2, they had to add a new clause to the contracts that people were allowed to fuck off if they thought the place was too haunted.

in the old Palladium RIFTS rpg, there was a psychic class who were so firmly nonbelievers, that they psychically suppressed psyonics and magic in a quiet wide radius around them. They literally lived in a world where ghosts, goblins and gods resided, and just decided it was all a bunch of phooey, tricks and scams made up by gullible idiots, and their mental resolve was strong enough to enforce these beliefs on reality itself.

DnD campaign I'm in went multiversal, basically, with us being able to travel to.other setting worlds and whatnot. My character was a warforged Artificer from Eberron that was friends with people who literally ascended to godhood, who himself did not believe gods existed. Shortest version, he went to Faerun and found out how things worked there with their gods, then discovered the Ur priests and how they could bypass the gods to do divine magic still. He believed gods were just focal points for-

So gods were just these vectors were this energy got released into the various planes of existence, and one needed only figure out how to manipulate that power directly to make anybody or anything into a "god".
