I'm a happy fanboy right now

Dec 29, 2015 10:58 AM

So we all saw this posted on the Front Page right? Right.

Anyway, @DickFaceCat posted the full resolution image in the comments

Wait a second, what does it say there?

Right there, just under the heading...

No... Could it truly be?

It is! The Scourge of Malachor! what is that you might ask? Not important. But what is important is...

It's Malachor! As in Malachor V! The planet from Star Wars KOTOR II that had been destroyed in the Mandalorian wars!

And who was responsible for this destruction you might ask?

The one. The only. Darth Revan! The greatest Jedi(And at one point Sith) in the entirety of the pre-Disney Purge continuity.

Do you know what this means? He might still be alive! Revan might still be alive! We might see him yet!

EDIT: It's been coming up in the comments a lot so, to clarify, I meant canon, not alive. I just used alive for the Back to the Future sort of thing.

Also send duck pics

All I see is a face on his stomach

Possibly a Power Rangers helmet, Gold Ranger.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This refers to the design as Ancient in the same breath it mentions the Malachor so it might be wayyyy past Revans time. Still cool though

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Well Malachor was 4000 years ago, remember. That's pretty ancient by any standards.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Revan non-canon believers, there may be hope. They're making a 6 inch Black Series figure of him.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Omg, i might just have to replay KOTOR I & II, which i convieniëntly picked up this steam sale :D (Revan ROCKS!)

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Can 100% relate to the "conveniently" part

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, i could have dug up my ancient xbox with both copies, but steam is so much easier

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that accusing finger tho

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Kotor 3 confirmed

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dude don't toy with me...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I had to check the username

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Revan is so over-hyped it's crazy. He's BioWare's Mary sue super jedi

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea, never did get the Revan hype. He's cool and all, but he's the greatest Jedi to have ever walked the Galaxy.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*not the greatest Jedi to have ever walked the galaxy.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

sure, why not

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Unless Disney changes it, Revan is dead. He became one with the Force at the end of SoR expac for SWtOR.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

thats like saying that playing baseball in the distant future with bats of current design, means Babe Ruth might still be alive

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

It's probably just a nod stuck in by the writer to material that's no longer canon.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's canon to me man, KOTOR is one of the best things ever with the Star wars name attached to it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Great post, but the most important thing on that page of the book is "Accusing fingers reinforce unquestioned authority."

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

LOL. I always wondered why he raised his finger slightly!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have to break it to you: according to the description, the sword itself is dated back thousands of years. (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So Revan might as well be dead for these thousands of years. But that doesn't change that I'd like to see him in the film as well :) (2/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's alive in a continuity sense, sure, but he's dead. It'd be much better to see HK-47. That glorious assassin droid on the silver screen.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Exile would be the Great Scourge of Malachor, pretty sure, not Revan. Revan wasn't at Malachor.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Hand gestures help visualize force techniques" been telling myself that since 1st grade

10 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

I was a late bloomer, I didn't start telling myself that until the sixth grade. But God how I wished it was true.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I often try the "turn traffic lights green" gesture. Works after 1-10 tries, every time.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Maybe Revan started the Knights of Ren 2000 years ago, and used to be called the Knights of Revan, and over the years the name was distorted

10 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

That's.. Actually reasonable

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

2/2 to Ren. So Kylo could be a follower, and either the Knights of Ren passed down the crystal or he found it, and now they follow Kylo

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Revan couldn't be alive. KOTOR was set 4000 years before New Hope

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

going with old EU material he could be. The sith emperor he encountered was immortal by draining the life force of a fully populated planet

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

WHEN 4000 YEARS OLD YOU REACH..... oh nevermind

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wasn't Revan reborn?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

you had one job and you ruined it!

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

This made me laugh. +1

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He's alive! Revan's alive! I mean, he's in the Old Republic, but he's ALIVE!

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Actually, he's dead at the end of the storyline.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a great (scott) comment. Carry on, Mharti.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Great Scott!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Give that man a peaceful ending with his family already! He f*cking deserves it!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You made my day with this. Great Scott!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Uh...literally nothing here suggests Revan might be alive. It's cool they made a mention, and probs based Ren's look on him, but that's it.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Exactly. OP saw what he wanted to see.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like to think of it as acknowledging that Revan and KOTOR are cannon. Because why not?

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Why doesnt he go to toshi station and buy a new crystal?

10 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 1

Sith make their crystals as part of their training. Guessing his next in training will be a better crystal/blade.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How do Sith make crystals? Sit around and hate stuff a lot? Then again that's how most of their powers work...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Urinary crystallization. Not many survive the process.

10 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

@OP, you should also know that Rakata Prime and HK-47 are canon again.

10 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 1

Does the existence of an in cannon character who was first seen in no longer cannon media automatically make the source cannon though?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sadly no.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mocking query: when was the great droid HK-47 not canon? :)

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

you deserve more points.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would instantly buy a ticket to the next film if I knew HK-47 was in it.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Not a chance meatbag

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gonna need a source

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He's in the Galaxy of Heroes game which isn't canon itself but the characters in it are.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HK-47 is a character on the Galactic Heroes mobile game that came out recently

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

What?? Someone needs to make a post about all the stuff from the EU that they're making canon again

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I also am curious. Not saying you're lying or anything BUT I MUST KNOW

10 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

He's in the Galaxy of Heroes game which isn't canon itself but the characters in it are.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

HK-47 has appeared in a few Disney sponsored and created flash games over the past few weeks. I haven't seen any Revan yet, but. . .

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Is the Infinite Empire canon? I could see KOTOR 1 (and maybe 2) being canon again because Revan/Malak had been Darth Bane's influence.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

There have been rumblings of a KotOR remake that would re-canonize the first game.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yah but wouldn't EA end up making it?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yaasssss, as someone who missed the first two KoTOR's and only picked them up too late.. I would LOVE that.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is Bane still canon tho?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

He was created by Lucas to be the Rule of Two creator and is mentioned in the Phantom Menace book. The Revan/Malak part was added by Bioware

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really got annoyed when people bitched about a somewhat different light saber. The expanded universe has like a billion weird lightsabers.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Like the light club

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not a star wars person. But I find it impractical, if a Saber slides down it would just cut the cross gourd metal bits off.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

not really. Most blades were made out of one of the several lightsaber resistant materials like phrik alloy or cortosis weave. They wouldnt

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

stop a lightsaber outright but it would be the difference between a hot knife through butter and a knife through frozen butter, doable but

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

alot more resistance.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

why are the light sabers in the new movie less powerful than before ? I was so upset they changed that, it made it look like a toy sword

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

5 I'm asking you pretty randomly but you seem knowledgeable.. here everybody I know was heavily disappointed by this movie

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

4 kylo ren takes inches of a saber that can melt metal in his shoulder and he barely grins .. please tell me that's disgusting to a true fan

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

3 in the new movie you can take a hit from a light saber and feel fine ?? Finn had his back slashed in two but he's apparently alive

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

2 like, light sabers are supposed to cut through anything. darth maul was split in two in one swing. luke's hand was cut off clean. etc

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I fucking hope so!! ps; Bring out KOTOR 3

10 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 3

This man/woman is talking about the important issues.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And pls keep SWTOR non-cannon. It was a fun story but they FUCKED Revan.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Besides Revan is already featured in The Old Republic MMO, so it's unlikely he'd be in KOTOR 3 even if that game does ever get made.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

TOR does not exist for me.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

SWTOR is KOTOR3. The storylines in there are good. Not as good as KOTOR I+II but still good. Besides, the MMO part can be almost avoided.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

My main issue with SWTOR is the tedious sidemissions. Most of them are boring grinds. I just want to go on with the class quests.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They changed all of that in newest expansion. You can just do main quest+planet mission to keep up in level. No need for hard grinding etc.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

He is? What?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The fourth expansion pack is called Shadow of Revan, it released around this time last year.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I would be super happy with an Xbox one HD version of KOTOR 1/2. It makes me sad I need to keep my 360 to play it.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I never got into swtor, not when I have to pay 20$ to be a twi'lek. It's just a big money grab. I miss Kotor :(

10 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

It's on Steam. PCMasterRace represent!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My pc sucks too bad to play it on PC plus I much prefer console games vs pc games.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Kotor 2 ran on the OG Xbox. Your computer should do fine unless it's a DDR2 system.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It just over heats really really easily. I have the box set of Kotor1/2 but it's 19gbs which makes my computer act like a snail.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Disney shut down Lucasarts, so chances of a KOTOR 3 are very small, unless they outsource it. But I doubt it, it's not profitable enough.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How is it not profitable enough. I don't know many gamers who have not played KOTOR.... And loved it 100%.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Disney is looking at the big picture. Developing games costs too much and gains too little in comparison to other media.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hell they had a great looking game practically finished and Disney fucking shelved it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know a few. The D&D-ish system doesn't work well for everyone. I enjoyed the hell out of it, but I can see how (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they'd want to move towards something that doesn't almost require a guide for character creation. (2/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lucas Arts had little to do with KotOR, I think. That was mostly BioWare's rodeo.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bioware did KOTOR, Obsidian (the guys from Fallout NV) did KOTOR 2. But LucasArts was still the publisher, meaning they funded the projects.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And while BW and OE did the actual developing, LucasArts still had a huge say in the creative process of the development.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still, the main reason there isn't a KotOR 3 is because of TOR. (Which I personally love but I know some feel the opposite.)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I don't deny that, I'm just saying that it's even more unlikely we'll ever see KOTOR 3 now that Disney bought Star Wars.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nowadays LucasArts is little more than a glorified licenser running at minimum capacity and funding.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That'd put Revan at somewhere around 2500 years old. As much as I'd like an Old Republic movie, please no.

10 years ago | Likes 340 Dislikes 11

try nearly 4000. KotOR and KotOR II take place around 3950 BBY

10 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Eh. I was literally taking a break from playing KOTOR on my phone to eat, didn't want to take the time to look it up/spend hours on wiki.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The force works in mysterious, plot driven ways, he'd look about 30

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

30 Space Years.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So is Revan stronger than Vader?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

What I understand, yes, but Vader had more potential. Losing his limbs and getting burned alive greatly reduced his connection to the force.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I had to laugh so much because that last sentence of yours sounded so damn pert. +1

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's pert?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My dictionary said it means something like flippy, snappish, flippant, saucie or cocky (girs). I'm no nativspeaker and I chose pert. :P

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He was super powerful Jedi and Sith have done some pretty crazy things

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes, but writers have to be careful about giving their characters too much power. I think they have already exaggerated things as it is.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tell that to the Wachowskis

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or stuck in cryo for a while, or a force ghost.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Maybe J.J. has him frozen in carbonite!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

More like 4,035 years old.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Actually the original motor was 4000 years before the movies

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

last time Revan was seen canonically he was a force ghost. Have hope!

Clearly he's... a REVANant.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

(2/2) cut for "reasons". My hope is that he didn't appear as a force ghost because he isn't dead. His lifespan was lengthnd alot in TOR too.

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

I really hope everything TOR related to Revan stays out, from the cutscenes I saw he was made so much less admirable.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but then he died and became one with the force

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

(Should probably pop here that TOR isn't canon) Yes, but he could also have been held in stasis for longer than TOR, in the canon timeline.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe he's Snoke.

10 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 1

Snoke could be Revan, Plagueis, or even Sidious

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's Mabeline

10 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

Plagueis.

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

I know, it if it is plagueis the destruction of EU will be worth it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

JAR JAR!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Plagueis and Sidious may have found the keys to immortality. So odds are both are still alive.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

I love reading through all of this stuff. You guys should post more...Or just message me with things! Haha. Thanks for the read!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I think in the EU Sidious had himself cloned or some such. I doubt Snoke is Plagueis, though.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I think his body died but his soul lived on and he took over someone's body.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Can't be, he turned back to the Light Side of the Force.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Revan flip flops like a mother fucker between both. I like what swtor did with him where he used both sides of the force.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In the 2500 years of his life, why would he not be able to turn to the Darkness again?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Because that would be way too forced, especially on top of making him 2500 years old

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Too forced"... I'm not sure if you wanted to make a pun or just allude to how forced the new movie is...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kinda hoping Rey goes all Bastila on us with a two-sided yellow lightsaber

10 years ago | Likes 672 Dislikes 8

It would make sense.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I think she will just use the blue Skywalker lightsaber. I think this because of reasons.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was actually hoping them to show Leia, now a general, to have developed Bastila's battle meditation ability.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Still could

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In KOTOR, you have to take a test to determine the color of your lightsaber. I'm pretty sure Rey matches the yellow profile.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm kinda hoping for a lightsaber pike for something different

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I suppose she's gonna get a blue saber at the end of her staff.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hopefully the next ones will improve.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does bastila marry revan?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes. But things get sad afterword so leave it at that.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

if your Revan is a male, she can, yeah

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

O.o ... go on

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that's the long and short of it. I always play a female Revan so I romance Carth instead

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the now non cannon EU Revan was a guy and married Bastila and had a kid. The jedi with a double sided lightsaber in the TOR 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Purple. Luke: "the color isnt my style but your mother liked it"... Highly doubt it but im still sold on her being his daughter.

Hopefully we're going to see M.J. Btw. I also would love to see Kyle Katarn being a part of Rogue One but i doubt its going to happen.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Just imagine to see a modern interpretation of the Moldy Crow - holy crap that would be awesome.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not really, but Galen Marek seems to be approved to be in Rogue One.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meh, I didn't like the Starkiller at all. Atleast we have Kanan Jarrus in Rebels - for some reason he reminds me of Kyle.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think they rewrote Galen as no longer a jedi anymore. I agree, The Force Unleashed suck storywise. Starkiller is too op

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They've made allusions to Luke's academy, so JA could be considered canon, and DF through Outcasts by extension.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would love to have Katarn back.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She's his daughter, why else would the sabre call to her It was originally anakin's then Luke's, it's familial, as is po being a great pilot

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

So you're saying that po is also a Skywalker?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Going by that logic, Poe is Luke's son. Since the Skywalkers were the best pilots. And Poe is pretty damn good. Strong in the force.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

In the comics Shattered Empire you meet Poe's parents. His dad is a Rebellion Commando and his mom is an A-wing pilot with green squadron

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Who were given one of the force sensative trees that luke liberated directly after palpatine got dead.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Am I the only one who wtf'd at them doing a "bombing run" with only xwings and no A or Y wings in the movie?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's going to happen. I believe that staff she uses is mega-foreshadowing.

10 years ago | Likes 366 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

STAR WARS!! Love it.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I like your thinking.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed. Ever since I saw her with the staff I've been hoping for double bladed.

10 years ago | Likes 96 Dislikes 0

Make it happen Disney!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, it's kinda BS that only bad guys get cool weapons.

10 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Yeah. It sucks to see no Jedi use curved hilt saber.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mabye a staff or lance type

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

that would be highly impractical, as it could be easily cut at the shaft... we'll have to see.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that's what happened to Maul as well. For a sith he's not smart enough to coat his handle with cortosis alloy.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is cortosis alloy a thing in new-canon? Does it appear in Clone wars/rebels?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn't there a material that could resist light sabers... If so it could be the most useful

I believe it's all non-canon now.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There were several materials that were resistant to lightsabers, including mandalorian iron (Beskar). Whether or not its canon anymore idk

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I can't tell if that's a double sided dirty joke or not..

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 6

it's not

doublesideddildoscenefromtrainspotting.gifv

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I don't remember that in Trainspotting?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait, it was from Requiem, shit i got it mixed up

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah right, no worries pal. Really need to watch that movie.

I called it already, they're going in that direction with all the new lightsaber users - if you noticed the Knights of Ren in the flashback

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Looks like the knights are more liberal though. They don't only use lightsabers

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But none of them but Kylo had a saber at all...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

not a lit saber, at least - if you look one guy in the back has a giant-axe thing - imagine if the edge was a lightsaber

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it's more wishful thinking than anything else...*shrug*...maybe it doesn't happen

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well she is the ultimate star wars character who can master anything with no training, so why not TWO two-sided yellow lightsabers?

10 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 24

She seems to be missing part of her memory and she's obviously been trained in the ways of the force

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

It's a great fan theory, I find it troubling though that Luke would teach a 5 year old mind control, force grab, and use of deadly weapons

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

That's true haha. But maybe he just taught her very basic stuff about the force, and she just knows about force grab etc and tried them...

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Still, it is a bit of a stretch ill admit

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She's already unconsciously read Kylo's mind when he tried to read her's. So it's easy for her to learn about using the force from reading -

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

YOU get a new force power, and YOU get a new force power! Everyone gets a new force powerrrrrrrrr!!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

- his mind, even for briefly.\

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She channeled the force. Luke and Leia did the same thing when they faced Vader in an old, now ret conned comic.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

The force taught her how to fly the falcon, repair it better than Han, AND use advanced jedi techniques with little/no training? Cool!

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 30

droid with his eyes closed within 3 minutes of training. It is not unreasonable to assume that Rey picked the knowledge of how to use mind

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He also failed pretty hard at first and had a teacher right there. Also does this mean if I get beat up by Tyson I gain his fighting skills?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1. she's implied to know how to fly ships, hence why she expresses preference for 'that quadjumper' 2. the only thing she repaired was 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Anakin could sense the future, giving the illusion that he had faster reflexes. As a child. Luke was able to block shots from a training

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

tricks from Kylo's failed interrogation, where she wound up probing HIS mind. The other stuff everyone else responded to and explained.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Luke use the force to fire the shot, Anakin use the force to win the pod races.....

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3/3 force use is mostly instinctual, hence why Anakin was using it before Qui-gon discovered him, and Luke made use of it before training

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Tbh, it looked like she just brute forced the fight with Ren. Large swings with open front and sides. I'm not a fight technique expert tho

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

People are going to a lot of work to justify her winning that fight, in all that usually means it was lazy writing.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 12

I think she knew how to fix Han's ship because she's been around broken down ships all her life. Eventually she learned what a lot of (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

You know who else has? THE SHIPS OWNER, HAN! And somehow she knew more about it than he did because she salvages random parts?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 17

Parts did, giving her some knowledge on how to repair ships especially one so old (2/2)

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

the compressor, which Han didn't only because he wasn't used to it being on his ship whereas she knew about it's installation. 3/ force 2/3

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I had an issue with the fight scene too, but as far as repairing the Falcon, her whole job was salvage and repair. Pretty reasonable.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The technical part can be explained by her having years of experience taking ships apart and it sounded like she spend a lot of time in MF

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

except didn't disney pretty much say that all lore from games before them getting their hands on star wars, was not canon any more?

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 5

they said it isn't canon, however I think they are reviewing a lot of the EU for good stuff to keep. So it was more a shoot first ask later

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It'll likely end up being a softer reboot than that. Chances are they'll reintegrate older stuff from the E.U. that is particularly good or

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

useful, and just make sure everything lines up stylistically with the movies. Also helps avoid potential timeline snags from so many writers

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So... Thrawn... right? please? pretty please?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The book Star Wars aftermath pretty much redid the post emperor power struggle, so I feel like it's not likely, but we'll I suppose

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was going to pick up Aftermath, but saw it got bad reviews and got Lost Stars instead... Really enjoyed it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One guy that would not be reintegrated, lightsaber knee guy.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The fans are overreacting. Just consider everything continuity until a movie contradicts it.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

That's what I do, but the decanonisation still pisses me off greatly.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I just operate with two separate cannons in my head... I can't just ignore so much of my childhood.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Agreed, with the latter part, at least. Production value doesn't make "mouse canon" right in any way.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm just calling an alternate timeline, like maybe call the disney one Alpha and EU one Beta timelines.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Argh T.T At least put them in the other order.
