People sometimes criticize putting clothes on cats. But as an owner of a cat I go for a walk daily with, lemme tell you - he doesn't give a ffffffffffffffffffffudge about wearing clothes. When it's chilly outside - it's sweater time. He just puts his front legs into the holes and off we go for a walk! He's not bothered in the slightest.

The longer I look at this, the louder the Wallace and Gromit theme gets in my head.

She's my idol!

Wish my cats were so well-behaved on the leash. They'd rather roll around in the dirt than actually go for a walk.

She's walking with the cute cat!

I didn't know just walking a cat was possible. Must be an outdoor cat.

I wonder if Princess Donut the Queen Anne Chonk would like a hat like this...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my cat would slit my neck ear to ear if I ever brought him out in public like that on a leash and silly cat hat.

So, it's just the hat he would object to?

Kitty needs a diet

Well, some breeds, like ragdolls, get belly pouches and ate naturally chubby, even with an appropriate amount of food. I took care of one that was just like this, even though I could easily feel her ribs.

I have read and seen enough material by Dr Seus that gives me grave concerns about that cat's future behaviour...

now, is she leading the cat? Or is the cat leading her?

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Yes

If my experience is any indicator the cat is leading the human to the nearest Abyssal Pit of Darkness

I tried putting a Santa outfit on my cat once. He flopped and refused to move till we took it off him

Fair.

Same. Had a cat, wife and I thought it would be fun to put her in a sweater. Instant immobilization.

I tried putting a harness on my cat and he did the same. I now wish I’d left it on him to see how long he would do that.

But seriously, most cats do not like any clothing, if you ever watched the "cat tape experiments" you can get an idea of why, it messes with them, the pressure feels irritating and they're trying to move away from it. Even collars, my cat would just constantly lose the collars he would just head through some brush or tree branches and SUCCESS got that damn collar off. It was clear he didn't like it.

Gah! Same cat hated collars! When I lived out in cottage country he'd purposely slide under fences to get the snap collar off

This is 95% of cats. You don't believe cats are capable of this until you get the one that, bizarrely, wants to play dressup. My siamese-tortie mix LOVED to wear scarves and costume jewelry, and would actually admire them in the mirror.

My girl Ash loved her harness and even liked wearing my mask as a little chest peice.

I can't immediately find the photos of her in the scarf and don't want to wake my spouse up for it. I've got the scarf on a plushie next to me. She was a very weird little cat. She's disproving the 'cats can't taste sweet' thing in this pic. BEGGED for cotton candy at any opportunity. She also saved my life. She alerted me to a housefire, saving me, my spouse, and the other cats.

What a great day to keep on living. Blessings on you and your cat family and your special rainbow bridge girl (I assume from the phrasing).

We lost her about 8 years ago, but she lived a long, happy, and relatively safe life. She now lives in Cathalla, with the fountain of endless Greenies and the sofa that you can shred every day, and it reappears unshredded every morning.

My spouse happened to get up and then found the pictures.
